5.0 out of 5 stars Great cd from a new band....
i didn't like this cd when i first played it, but the second time around i really got into it. i was really surprised when the singer tried to rap in a few songs (kill pop, everyday) but theyre not bad. i do hear a kurt cobain comparison and they do a good job on trying to sound like nirvana, but they definately will never be nirvana. i have no idea if they will be...

3.0 out of 5 stars Who do they want to be???
To me it sounds like a Nirvana riff and the singer is trying to sound like Sebastian Bach of Skid Row.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nirvana meets Rage Against The Machine, March 29, 2005

A very good freshman offering from this bunch. I usually turn my nose up at all the johnnie-come-latelies, but I can feel the pain of Phil Tayler pour thru my speakers. He's hurting--- and he's pissed too. A good combo for a rock band.
TA

ps--- I read a reviewer talk these guys down, But I have to say--- I think you missed it with these guys. Phil was homeless for a while--- his angst is for real. Take another listen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Combines many styles, October 24, 2004
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
I was anticipating this album for months especially when i heard the single let me out. I had to hear more, although only 10 songs it is still a masterpeice. I would describe them by naming bands like nirvana, puddle of mud, and even rage against the machine. A very political group and def get their message across, either in a singing low key way or using the rapping skills and yelling skills that show the emotion and great passion they put into it the music. This band is grounbreaking and i cant wait to hear more material from them. Simply amazing

5.0 out of 5 stars for nirvana fans....., December 20, 2004
By
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
ok so ive seen some mixed reviews on this cd, so i decided to come and set the record straight. first off, there is a TREMENDOUS nirvana like sound here. seeing as how nirvana is what got me into music, the moment i first heard "let me out" on the radio i thought perhaps it could be a song by nirvana i never heard. i found out days later that it was a band called "future leaders of the world". at first i was sketchy about buying this cd, cuz of the whole "well what if the only song ive heard is the only good song on the cd", and "what if this is some ripping off of nirvana stuff". its not! every song on this cd rocks out loud and hard. for anyone out there whos looking for the next nirvana, for any true nirvana fan whom is looking for something to satisfy their nirvana cravings other than listening to thier cds, go out and buy this cd immediately. at first listen, you might think kurt faked his death and is singing on this cd, im not kidding, its crazy, but this cd rules and you should own it. every song is good. you wont have to skip any songs. these guys have alot of talent.. look for them to just BLOW the hell up, cuz its gonna happen soon once more people hear this record. what are you waiting for??? GO BUY THIS CD RIGHT NOW, DONT HESISTATE AND MISS OUT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Taylor Is Really Something, January 24, 2012
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
To start, not all of the songs are flawless - "Make You Believe" and "Sued" are only sometimes compelling, with the former relying on Taylor's yelling and the latter mining the dreary "post-grunge" mine for material - but Taylor and the band consistently deliver raw statements of fleshed-out thought: these aren't overly angsty or emotional cuts. Into anthems? Try "Unite" or "House of Chains." Want the furious thumpers? There's "Spotlight" or "Everyday." Overall, a great debut and worth it for fans of thoughtful alt-metal that almost always stays captivating, loud or soft.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Album, but nothing special!, September 28, 2005
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
I just bought this album and I have listened to it twice just to let it all soak in. This album is nothing new, these guy do try and sound a whole lot like nirvana, especialy the lead singer. The songs are good solid songs but like I said, it's nothing new, the sound has been done before and these guys are a little cliched. I would say I liked about 2/3's of this album. To me, the best song on the album is the one they came out with on the radio, "Let me Out". Besides that I also liked Spotlight(4/5), Everyday(4/5), of course Let Me Out(5/5), Kill Pop(5/5), Unite(4/5), and House of Chains(3/5). The other 4 songs (Make you Believe, Sued, 4 Sale, and Your Gov't Luvs you) weren't that good. I bought this album on amazon for like 50 cents brand new and it was well worth it. It is a solid debut album from this band, it's just all been done before.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good solid HARD ROCK!!!, May 15, 2005

A good CD from a good band. Any rock fan should add this CD to their arsenal. A bit repetative, but still a good sounding, rock solid album. Well done, Future Leaders of the World!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blast from the past with a Modern Kick, October 8, 2004

So I heard the song "Let Me Out" on the radio, very catchy, so I checked out the album. Talk about a Kirk Cobain flashback! While not a cheap rip, there is definitley some nirvana influences here. Throw that in with a Modern Rock feel, and you got the Future Leaders of the World. Long Name, Awesome tunes! If you like to rock period, this is the album you want. I can't wait for more, put my name down on the official fan list!

5.0 out of 5 stars FROM THE HEART, January 12, 2005
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
All you need to know are four words:
"THIS IS GOOD STUFF"
I was surprised to read some of these
other reviews and the comparisons to
"NIRVANA". I thought I was the only
one that noticed the similarities.
There has been many bands that came
along after NIRVANA was segregated
and alot have been tagged "The Next
NIRVANA" (the band that has has changed
the history and evolution of Rock as
we know it) but all those past
comparisons of various bands seemed
to all wither out. But there is
something distinct about this band.
These guys are truly the NEXT BEST
THING to come along since NIRVANA. You
can hear the pain and suffering of
lifes experiences coming out the vocals.
Thats all we want from a true Artist
and poet, to share with us where they
have been and all the obstacles
they have overcome.
There may be about two tracks that can
make you question "why" but you can
understand that they were experimenting
with different sounds that would be
separated from the other similar sounding
rhythms.
All I can say is that I will challenge anyone
to try to listen to "Everybody", "Let me Out",
"Unite", or any other track and I guarantee
you that you wont be able to keep your body
still!

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the best albums of 2005, January 15, 2006
This review is from: Lvl IV (Audio CD)
About summer of last year i got a new car, that car didnt come with a cd player so i was forced to listen to the radio for about a month. The best thing i got out of that was discovering this band. I heard Let me out on the radio and at first thought it was everclear. Then I found out it was some new band FLOW. I went out an bought the cd on the strengths of Let me out. And i was not dissapointed. Sure the cd isnt perfect, but it is theyre debut, so it doesnt have to be. It is very powerful and the singer has some very clever lyrics. My only problems with the cd are that it builds up with so much speed an anger, then will go to a slow song, builds back up, then goes to a slow song again. And the final two songs sound pretty similiar. But these are all forgivable mistakes for a new band. If your dissapointed with the lack of good bands out there right now, or fed up with the amount of Nickelback the radio plays, check these guys out.
