After reading this book, I could not help but conclude that it took not only courage but exceptional strength from the author and the number of women who shared such deep personal parts of their lives. But as a Psychotherapist I understand quite well why they do. It is through their sharing that they found healing. I was impressed by the personal growth of the author and the practical steps she provided in dealing with issues like: anger, shame, guilt, forgiveness and feelings of inadequacy. I think that It can be an instrument that begins the healing process for anyone who has been abused.

The issue of sexual abuse is very rampant, even in very religious families. The author captures the essence of such a devastating experience in a unique way. She takes the reader on a journey through her psychological and physical trauma in vivid details, but also recounts how she emerged like a beautiful butterfly that was imprisoned in a cocoon of misery for many years of her life. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been victimized, or knows someone who has, because they would gain some very beneficial insights into the process of personal transformation and healing.

Esther , love your book it was deep with a true experiences, that myself and others can use to understatand the what, how, why,
when and where of Abuse. This book presents the secrets kept silent in the bellies of the abuser longing to explode. I am glad
this is a new age where hidden abusers can now express their true feelings about the real pain inside so they can heal and
bring some closure the heinous unconsented acts serve to them on evil platters. Everybody should read this book not just
abusers, but those who might find themselves or their children in such a situation one day. Great job LOU.

I am a therapist and have worked with many survivors of childhood sexual abuse and have seen firsthand many of the results of such experiences. What I find quite remarkable about the book is the author's use of non-technical lanuage to capture the severity of the problem of such trauma, and the way in which she clearly points the way to healing, which come out of her own struggles and desire to survive and thrive. The author's open approach to such a sensitive matter speaks volumes about her willingness to lift the vail of secracy and denial, and of her commitment to do the hard work of healing, as evidenced by the personal growth she talked about and how she redefined, reclaimed and assert her right to live her life in healthier way,s and not according to the problems and dysfunctions of others. Any person who has been sexually abused, knows someone who has been, or is raising children and needs to understand how to deal effectively with the many shades and dimensions of the problem, along with the many overlooked nuances tn the process of victimization, can benefit greatly from reading this book. This author provides inspiration and hope to those with similar experiences to hold on for another day, because tomorrow can be certainly better than today. They too need obtain a copy of this book. I'm waiting to buy as many as I can afford if or when it comes out on paper back to give away to those I care about, it will make a hugh difference in their lives as it continues to be in mine. Happy Shopping.

No, I am not a victim of abuse, but this gave me a way to just start to understand what the survivors went through. Like I said, it's just a start, a glimpse, because I cannot ever truly understand it, but this book brought the issue to my attention. Childhood sexual abuse is something we often, as a society, overlook, sweep under the rug, never to talk about again--even though it affects one in three women in the United States. (When the author mentioned that... it was startling to me)

The author provides plenty of resources in here to help survivors start their healing process (for example, affirmations, 14 happiness keys... etc), as well as a collection of stories from other survivors. They were extremely hard to read and I had to take a break from the text every once in a while because of that, but... wow. They were emotional, raw, vivid, and not to mention devastating. But it also showed survivors that they're not alone, and brought to light the pain that these people--and so many others--went through.

I'm glad this book was written because it brings the issue of childhood sexual abuse to our attentions. It also gives hope to the survivors. I really appreciated the chapter that was titled "Five Things Never to Tell a Sexual Abuse Survivor," also--it helps me be a more sensitive person when it comes to these issues, and of course, I learned that the best thing for me to do for any SAS is to just listen non-judgmentally. Overall, a great book to check out for anyone who is a victim, and anyone who loves them.
