Simple the Best Wax You'll Ever Find,
By
This review is from: Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit (Misc.)
Poetic Wax is the best and gentlest out there and it lasts a long time. It totally got rid of my daughter's 'moustache' after just a few treatments. Not that everyone will have such great results, but this is truly the easiest, most cost effective at-home waxing kit you will ever buy and I have tried everything! One friend does not go to the salon to have her 'hair areas' ripped anymore. After I showed her with one application, she does her own waxing at home for a lot less than it cost her at the salon and the results last longer.

Very Good Wax,
By
This review is from: Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit (Misc.)
This wax is amazing. Many other waxes hurt alot more than this one. You still will feel the sensation of your hair being pulled out, but you won't feel your skin being ripped off. Salons that use this wax charge a small fortune for the service, but the wax is safe and easy for at home use. The only down side is that it doesn't come with enough! It's not enough to remove leg hair more than once or twice. This is great for hair removal in small areas of the body, like underarms, upperlips, brows etc. because it will last longer. I only wish they sold a larger container.

Great but use the metal cup! Cheaper and easier.,
By Kathleen L Sarna (Grain Valley, MO, US) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit (Misc.)
I read a lot of reviews and wasn't sure which cup to get(plastic or metal. So, I bought both the plastic microwave cup kit and the original metal cup of wax (since most reviewers preferred that), to see which I liked best. I got much more wax for the money, from the metal cup. In both cases, the product is great and does acually hurt (badly on knee-caps, around ankles, armpits, basks of legs). But no pain-no gain and it is Extremely effective. ALL the hair came off. Use the metal cup wax product, not the microwave one or u will have to put the plastic cup back in the micro many, many times. Buy a $5 electric candle warmer at Walmart (in the candle department-it is flat and white with a black heating circle to set a candle or cup of coffee on-the metal wax cup fits great)and plug it in at least 2 1/2-3 hours before use, for the wax to melt. Once the wax is melted, put a popsicle stick or plastic knife-use the flat side when u smear the wax, I used the plastic spreader that comes with the "kit"). Lift out some wax and twirl it around on the stick for a few seconds then smear on your hairy skin, in one pass if possible. I found that the wax doesn't have to be quite as thick as a banana peel. (I watched a product demo online at QVC to see how to do this)Timing is they key. Apply wax in a small area. I did a 2"x3" swatch (as I got better at it, I did 2 swatches then removed both quickly, in the same order theat I applied them). Lift up edge of firm (but still a bit soft), wax. Hold skin taught, then pull off the wax in about 15 seconds, no longer then 20 seconds or wax gets too brittle and can't come off in 1 piece. I pulled it up in the opposite direction from which I smeared it on. In other words, start pulling it up where you finished smearing on the swatch. You will get better as you go...I rolled the wax off sometimes which helped it stay together. The plastic cup kit that I bought came with "before and after" cream/oils. I tried doing this both with and without these products and saw no defference in the results so now I only use the wax. I do put on a lotion afterward as my skin has always been very dry. When my metal cup is running low on wax, I will microwave the plastic cup and pour the contents into the metal cup. This works great and is the best hair remover I have ever used (I've tried many of them and I have very coarse, thick, stubborn hair.:)! You can save the used wax and re-melt it and use it again of u are not grossed out by the idea of your own hair in the wax. It still works great that way and saves money. Just make sure you are using it on clean skin each time. I apologise for the wordiness but I want to help first time users. Good luck!
