My kids are 6 and 4, boy and girl, respectively. The Jack Russell books are their favorite for bedtime family read-aloud books. The Lying Postman was no exception. They were a bit stressed when the dog got kicked. But they love every minute of these stories and we have to send them to bed every night while they are begging to read one more chapter.

Just adorable! Written in first dog (instead of first person), the series of Jack Russell: Dog Detective books are clever and endearing. And if you ever met a Jack Russell, you can almost believe that what Jack is thinking is just what the average Jack Russell is thinking.

My son, age 10, really enjoys this series. The books should be read in order to not spoil the ending of another. My son didn't like to read till he found this series, now he is addicted. It is a great and fun series.
