Product Description
'He could just see himself, in a year or so, going back home with his pockets stuffed with cash and his Da, Zach and Ma welcoming him with big smiles and open arms. It would be that grand he could hardly wait.'
But when Malachy Flynn finds himself mixed up with the Conway family in Dublin, he realises that making money isn't always easy - or legal. Then there's Brogan. No-one messes with Brogan. Ever.
Tom Oliver, a handsome bachelor farming in the north-east of England, has always enjoyed the intimate company of women, but he meets a dangerous match when his new dairyman moves in with his attractive wife and her younger sister.
When Mal becomes involved with Tom's family and his secret past catches up with him, revelations and death threaten to turn everyone's lives upside down. Can Mal protect those he loves or will he forever be watching over his shoulder, waiting for Brogan to take revenge?

From the Author
I've been a prolific reader all my life and always wondered if I could write a book myself.
After many false starts, I now have three books on Amazon Kindle.
The first, 'Lying in Wait' (98.5k words) is general fiction with strong thriller and romance elements. Writing 'Lying in Wait' confirmed something I had long suspected - that I didn't want to stick to a single genre in my writing. Being an Indie author frees me from the constraints placed on writers by many conventional publishers to write a book that fits easily into a slot on a particular shelf in a bookstore. E-books have changed everything, and as a writer I now feel free to go wherever my characters take me.
My second book is 'Meggie Blackthorn' (66k words). Meggie is an enterprising eleven-year-old growing up in the north-east of England in the early 1960s, who gets herself into one dreadful mess after another. Unlike 'Lying in Wait', Meggie contains no bad language, sex or strong violence and is suitable for all ages. Writing the first Meggie book made me realise I prefer to write character-based novels with strong plots, rather than a strong plot with supporting characters. I'm currently working on the second Meggie Blackthorn story.
The third, Friday 'Afternoon' is a short story of approx 1500 words.
I still love reading and get through dozens of books each year, but I absolutely adore putting pen to paper and creating stories that will entertain other readers.
