5.0 out of 5 stars WHY???
WHY DO OASIS ALWAYS LEAVE THEIR BEST SONGS AS B-SIDES???? THAT MAKES ME SO MAD!! The b-sides on this single are as good or even better than anything on the album.

1.0 out of 5 stars Their worst song ever! If not the worst song ever!
What ever happened to Oasis.
While some say they lost it, what did they lose?
Maybe they lost the songs that made Definitley Maybe and Whats the story morning glory so huge and, madethem such a huge band when they first came out.

Adn following that were three albums between 1997 and 2002.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great song but haven't I heard this same bashing before!, May 29, 2005
This review is from: Lyla (Audio CD)
The more I listen to this song the more I like it. The b-sides are excellent and remind me of Oasis 1994. I don't understand why people want to constantly bash Oasis for ripping off riffs from other bands. Led Zeppelin, arguably the greatest rock band of all time, constantly ripped off riffs from Robert Johnson, example "Whole Lotta Love." This practice has been going on for the last forty years. The bottom line is that this is a good song.

4.0 out of 5 stars "...the world around us makes me feel so small", April 11, 2006

Lyla is the first single released from Oasis's 2005 album Don't Believe The Truth.

The song went straight in at Number 1 on UK's singles chart, while in the US, it only entered Billboard's Modern Rock tracks at number 19.

Upon listening to it for the first time, I disliked it. But after repeated listening, it grows on you like fungus until you find yourself stomping your feet, shaking your head, and imitating Liam's singing style as you sing along to every one of Noel's lyrics.

Lyla is one of the catchiest songs Oasis have ever recorded, and one of their definite classics.

B+

This is simply a great track. Sure it sounds like the Stones' "Street Fighting Man," but who cares. They ripped off just as many other artists as Oasis is accused of. Smokin' vocals and guitar-solo make this song massive. The brothers are back in full swing!!!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

A la fecha he comprado por este medio "Live forever", "Supersonic", "Cigarettes & Alcohol", "Some might say", "Don't look back in anger", "Go let it out", "Lyla" y "The importance of being idle". Todos me llegaron rapidisimo a mi direccion en USA, en promedio de 3 a 7 dias habiles. No lo dudes.

The biggest and best Brit-rockers are back. No, not Coldplay. That title belongs to Oasis. And Lyla will rock you're socks off. If you want to sit on you're own in a corner, go listen to the new Coldplay album when it comes out. Don't Believe The Truth will be an another amazing album by Oasis. So go and buy it on May 31!!! HEY LYLA!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oasis Still Has It...., May 24, 2005
This review is from: Lyla (Audio CD)
Oasis is still the greatest rock & roll band on the face of the Earth. Lyla is a foot-stomping sing-along song that captures that old-time Oasis excitement. Buy this single and buy the new album, Don't Believe The Truth!
