The underlying pathogenetic mechanisms of infection, its epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these often devastating vector-borne diseases are the focus of this book.

Nutman is one of the world's leading experts in Human lymphatic filariasis. Here he has written a very clear and concise account of what really goes on within the body when the lymphatics are invaded by these filarids. I strongly recommend this book to everyone remotely interested in filariasis.
