Lynda Carter's first exciting made for TV movie!, December 10, 2004
Brooke Newman (Lynda carter) is an aspiring country singer who unwittingly comes into the possession of a tape for which her engineer husband and his partner in their electronic eavesdropping business were murdered by the hired goons of Brockhurst Industries. They are trying to cover up the recent tragic death of a young boy who died of poisonous fumes in Landry, Texas, where 20 years before, Brockhurst Industries buried their toxic chemical wastes 10-45T. Over the years the deadly chemicals have eaten through their containers and are surfacing and poisoning the people and nearby livestock in and near Landry, which was unknowingly built on the toxic landfill. The Brockhurst owners won't admit to their mistake and plan an act of deliberate sabotage to cover up the toxic poisons near Landry in 4 days, which will not only cover their mistake, but also cause death to anyone or anything in and around Landry. This is what was on the tape that Brooke's husband had accidentally recorded.
After the murder of her husband, Brooke and her young daughter Abby are threatened by the evil minions of Philip Brockhurst (Don Porter). Brooke decides to find out what could be the reasons for the murder and takes off to investigate on her own. She enlists the help of Sid Pachansky (Ronny Cox), a ex-Vietnam War chopper pilot and owner of a helicopter for hire service, and together they uncover the scheme. With only minutes left before the explosion, Brooke and Sid in his small helicopter try to stop the booby-trapped truck carrying the toxic waste 10-45T, but are chased by the hired killers in another helicopter who try to shoot them down!
Lynda Carter, fresh from her hit TV series "Wonder Woman", stars in her exciting first made-for-tv film that deals with the same 1970's environmental waste disposal issues that led up to the disaster at Love Canal. Lynda is excellent as the terrified wife and mother who cannot understand why her home is invaded and loving husband murdered. Threatened with the same fate, she bravely decides out to find the reason why her family was destroyed, only to end up facing the entire cruel, calculating industrial complex with only one lone person to help her.
This film has an exciting car chase, as well as a hair-raising cat and mouse helicopter pursuit that makes you hold onto your chair as the two choppers fly down on the deck, through dense groves of tall trees and finally in and out of steep canyons. It should be also be noted that Lynda Carter did NOT use a stunt double in the movie-those scenes of her in the small copter are real! The movie has only a few violent scenes (when Brooke's husband and his partner are killed and Brooke later threatened,) but there is no blood or gore shown, and can be viewed by the entire family and discussed afterwards as to why, 30 years later, these environmental issues still threaten the world.

Great Movie, HORRIBLE DVD transfer, October 20, 2007
This was a made for TV movie in 1980. The movie would get 5 stars, but this has to be the worst DVD transfer I have ever seen, so I give it 1 star. The picture is horrible and looks like a bad VHS tape on 6 hour mode with tracking problems. The sound is worse. They even made a mistake on the title track of the DVD and my computer pops up with "Lost Song". This movie deserves better treatment.
The movie is great. Hey, how can you go wrong with Lynda Carter? A developer had built a subdivision on landfill. It was found that there were toxic chemicals in the landfill and they were coming to the surface, causing sickness among the residents of the town of Landry. The developer decided that if a tank truck of 10-45T (Agent Orange?) that was to pass through the town were to crash near the site, the chemical company transporting it would take the blame for the contamination and he would get off. Brooke Newman's (Lynda Carter) husband was doing electronic evesdropping and taped a conversation with Brockhurst (the developer) about the coverup plans. He ends up getting murdered and Brooke has to figure out what is going on. She is befreinded by a Vietnam veteran who was a chopper pilot and wants to help her out. He has a tiny helicopter and the movie ends with a great chase with the developer chasing him in a larger helicopter while he tries to stop the truck carring the 10-45T. I flew in helicopters with some Nam pilots while I was in the 1st Cav Division and these scenes really show how they flew back then. They were truly amazing pilots.
Don't pay full price for this one, but check on the dealers, several have new copies for as little as 1 cent. Well worth that.

Lynda Carter Proves to an Excellent Actress in The Last Song, December 14, 2008
Lynda Carter's first t.v. movie after the cancellation of Wonder Woman. Lynda proves she is a wonderful actress in this t.v. thriller, which keeps you interested from beginning to end. Linda also shows off her beautiful voice and does her scared scenes very convincively. Movie's summary looks boring. However, I assure you this movie is anything but. This movie keeps me being a Lynda Carter fan. Must buy.
