My son LOVES this drum. He plays with it every day. You have to be careful because the head of the mallet can fit all the way into their mouths (they all seem to love putting the mallet into their mouths). But we have not had any trouble. The drum is also very durable and has taken a beating from my 1 year old and still looks brand new.
