I just received this guitar today and I am so very pleasantly surprised!! This is an awesome guitar for $40, both in finish and sound quality. I have seen beginner classical guitars for three times the price of this in music stores but of much inferior finish and sound quality. It is an excellent beginner guitar at a great price!!

A great guitar for your daughter or son..very light and easy to hold. The quality is very good considering the price and very attractive. I would recommend this product to get someone interested in music, yet not spending an arm and leg to do it!!

This guitar is an excellent buy for the money. There simply is no real competition at this price point. If you are just starting out, and want a decent instrument to learn on, this is a perfect choice. I bought mine because I wasn't sure I would enjoy classical guitar when compared to my acoustic or electric, so I wanted to try it on the cheap. The guitar feels solid, and has a durable feeling finish. The fret board is painted flat black, which was a little off-putting at first when compared to the deep glossy finish elsewhere. The guitar is a little on the quiet side, which is fine for a practice instrument. You wouldn't be putting on shows with such a guitar anyway, plus, for you parents or spouses having to listen to the foibles of a new guitarist, the low volume of this guitar will be a blessing. All in all I am very happy. The only thing I can say against this guitar is that the body had sawdust, paper, and some other crud inside it which I had to shake out. Probably got in there due to the no-doubt inexpensive factory processes that this guitar is produced under.

Does it compare to a $3,000 instrument, no. Is it a serviceable guitar well suited to the new guitarist, very much yes.

This is a very inexpensive guitar and it somewhat an instance of getting what you paid for. It is good for a learning instrument, but there are a few things to keep in mind. 1. This is a classical guitar. It has a wider and shorter neck than a standard guitar and it is strung with three metal strings and three plastic strings, rather than 6 metal strings. Also, the sound quality is merely acceptable. It tends toward a rough sound, particularly when strummed with any energy. Still, it is a great instrument for someone just starting, as I am. It has all the necessary pieces, a reasonable tone, is relatively durable and if you do something horrible to it, you're only out $50.
