I cannot say enough about this video series! I bought it when my daughter was 1, and she loves it, and I have learned also from it. I studied Italian recently in college, they sould show these videos! They make learning the language FUN, EASY, and IMBEDDED through repetition, if only I had this in college! Granted, we have a native speaker, Italian, in our house, Papa, but just through the videos my daughter has learned SOOOOO much! By the way, the resident Italian gives these videos his seal of approval! I am thinking of bringing these to my mother inlaw, in Italy, who is trying to learn english! They are so easy! If you want your child to learn a second langauge, start now with this series!

The easiest way to learn is through repetition...the songs are catching, easy to learn and the words are displayed at the bottom of the screen....it feats a trip to the zooo, the beach, supermarket, counting, the alphabet and more. So, this is a well rounded intro to italian for babies, kids and adults. Also, the pronuciation is excellent! You will learn alot of basics!

This video is a success for both parents and children alike. Learning Italian is fun while watching a video that is so captivating. The children enjoy a trip to the zoo, the beach, the supermarket--all things they can easily relate to. And the songs are fun to sing and easy to remember. I recommend this to anyone who wants their child to learn a second language.

My 18 month-old son and I love watching this video! We have most of the Italian cassette tapes on the market, but nothing beats seeing the actual Italian words below the items being described! This video is simple enough for even an adult to understand (my son is already more fluent than I)!

As an Italian teacher here in New York, I am always looking for ways to integrate music and art for learning the Italian language. This is a great way to teach children Italian. It is interactive, realistic, and very well done!
The cover may be deceiving; it is not a cartoon. This is a great video, showing children and adults in situations set to songs. Each song is sung in both english and italian, and the repetition truly works! The songs are catchy and fun.
This video is best suited for young children learning Italian. High Schoolers and adults will find it too childish.

My children 2, 4, and 6 love to watch the video and listen to the audio tape (that came with it) in the car. They even try to say words along with it. My 6 year old was not interested last year when we got it, but now he is excited to listen to the songs about the zoo, the store, the seasons, and the alphabet.

It is a nice thing for my children because my in-law speak Italian, but my husband does not speak it to our children. So this is a good way to expose them to the language more often and in a fun musical way.

The Cultural Arts Center of St. Louis, LLC loves and cherishes the Lyric Language - Italian I and Italian II because they clearly promote easy and fast learning of Italian. This is probably the fastest way to learn essential vocabulary in a fast-paced manner because you can hear the Italian, see the Italian and watch the Italian being acted out. It is wonderful for those who like to learn visually and it is also backed with audio to reinforce what you are seeing on the screen. The songs are slow so you can appropriately learn the pronunciation and also they repeat the lyrics over and over again for repetition. Even fluent speakers should invest in Lyric Language because it is an essential program to have for Italian immersion. This is probably the best product out there to truly learn Italian in a fun and fast manner. Great Educational Tool!

I've picked up several Italian language videos over the last year for my 2-year-old son, and this one he actually requests! He enjoys the songs and has been trying to sing along. At first I was disappointed that it only has songs, but each line of the lyrics is sung in English, then in Italian, and then vice-versa, so there is plenty of opportunity to repeat the words. The songs go over animals, numbers, letters, days of the week, foods and some other basics, and the fact that my son WANTS to watch makes me happy, so I hope he'll start retaining more words. Just wish I could find this on DVD!

For young children only. The adult learned will not pick up anything useful on this tape. The Standard Deviants Italian is the video of choice for those who wish to learn Italian. It is well organized and contains all the basics for learning the language
