Editorial Reviews

LT2: Doxology is strongly influenced by the great hymns of the Christian faith, with blended worship styles that alternately bring to mind everything from Negro spirituals to golden-era Hip-hop. Expect a musically diversified sound as LT2: Doxology not only features rap, but hymns and songs of praise. Leah Smith, Chris Lee Cobbins, Brooks Ritter, and Joint Heirs are featured on the album with most of the production handled by Wes Pendleton.

Shai Linne is one of my favorites!
Jose Rodriguez
Amazing idea and I love his work, though the first album was better, but the point of this one really spoke to my heart.
Lawcorp
Praise God for His salvation through Christ Jesus that moves brothers like this to praise Him with music like this.

Buyer beware: I love Shai Linne's lyrical hip hop flow, and that was what I was expecting, but he only has about 4 songs on this entire CD where he is actually rapping, and 2 of those are remixes, although I haven't heard them before (and I have all of his CDs--so don't know where they came from). I was thrown for a loop when I listened to this. If I was expecting some cool beats, gospel songs and praise grooves then I'd rate it a 5. It is not a bad CD, it is just not like his other CDs which are entirely hip-hop CDs. Had I known I would have just waited until Amazon put the CD on MP3 downloads and purchased only the 4 rap songs. Lyrical Theology Part 1 was a pure hip hop CD. I'm a bit disappointed. I think Shai Linne had too many guest singers. When I purchase a Shai Linne tape, I am buying it to hear Shai Linne flow. So Shai, please stay true to who you are and display that awesome gift you have.

Part two of a three part project hits the heart right where Part 1 hits the head. While I preferred the theology heavy album...I needed this one.

Thanks Shai.

The lowercase m.c. is back with what will be a masterpiece. All of his prior work included, one of the best personalities to ever hold a mic, shai linne has come up with his second part of his current project. Lyrical Theology is just another extension to God's wonderful work in hip hop form, from a modern expositor of the theological certainty. For those who already have experienced shai linne's work, here's 5 stars of hard work. For those who haven't been introduced to it, take it from me, God has an answer to all questions, and shai linne has a viewpoint that will help God's will make it into your life. Open your mind with part one, now open your heart with part two. Much love to all, shai linne, thanks for your hard work and dedication.

My favorite Shai linne album so far. #4 "nothing but the blood" is my favorite song, But truthfully the whole album is amazing. This concept of bringing a worship feeling to hip hop was done in a beautiful way. #11 to the praise of His grace brought me to tears when I first heard it. Lampmode is putting out quality music that is really unmatched stylistically.

A great piece of work. Theologically sound, yet infused with heartfelt and sincere truth.

Shai Linne brings great glory to our great God. It's an encouragement to remember that Doxology needs a balance with Theology. Either alone is a monster that doesn't belong.

I bough this CD expecting Shai linne's flowing hip-hop style, and that is not what was given. This is a WORSHIP ALBUM. If you want a bunch of singing to bring you closer to the Lord then this is not a bad album. If you are looking for hip-hop check out something like Tedashi's Below Paradise. I will hope that his next album goes back to rap.
