Came home from being away for 3 days to my best surprise my LyssieJ cd's had arrived. The booklet that comes with it is so clever, not going to spoil the surprise for those who haven't yet received their copies. My husband and I began to play it right away. I will never understand how a show with this much to offer on so many levels, is not still playing on Broadway. The music brings me right back into the theater. The CD is crisp, clear, perfectly done. I don't lnow the technical music terms, but let's just say it is perfect

Saw Lysistrata in New York. Have always enjoyed Douglas Carter Beane's work. It' a pleasure to have it home with me. Unfortunately, Hurricane Issac flooded my car and took my Lysistrata away.

Great cast recording of a very fun show which ended it's Broadway run prematurely. Patti Murin and Liz Mikel lead a cast of twelve in this welcome addition to one's Braodway music collection. Lewis Flinn's pop-flavored score is entertaining, clever and even offers a few surprises. Jennifer Holliday singing a bonus track is only one of them.
