About the Author
John Reed (1887-1920), poet and journalist, was the hero of a generation of radical intellectuals in the United States. He was a correspondent during the Mexican revolution, World War I, and the Russian revolution of 1917. Among his most famous work is Ten Days that Shook the World, which became the basis of the movie "Reds."
