When we can't say a thing, we have to be silent. But if the last sentence of the "Tractatus" by Wittgenstein should be a general law about our behavior, perhaps never we can't speak about music. Teodora Krasteva, a young wonderful musician, advised me playing "Forrò" to explain me what she thought about Gismonti. Really, it was enough. Then I can only make like this, advising you the hearing of this track: I think its expressive power is unbelievable (...and impossible to be said...). In this music you can understand many ways of the Gismonti's musical genius, but in particular you can see how a very strong classic background ca meet with the most enjoying creativity. Forgive me, now, please, I see I have said to much..... Quando una cosa non può essere detta bisogna tacere. Ma se l'ultima proposizione del "Tractatus" di Wittgestein dovesse essere assunta a regola generale del nostro agire, forse di musica non si dovrebbe mai parlare. Teodora Krasteva, giovane e meravigliosa musicista, per spiegare cosa pensava di Gismonti mi fece ascoltare "Forrò". Non servì altro. Allora posso solo imitarla, sommessamente consigliando l'ascolto di questo brano contenuto nel cd, che personalmente ritengo di eccezionale (indicibile, appunto...) forza espressiva: in un solo pezzo è possibile riconoscere molti dei sentieri della creatività musicale di E.G., ma soprattutto colpisce come un solidissimo gusto "classico" si accompagni alla fantasia più esaltante. Mi scuso, vedo che ho detto anche troppo.
