The best way to load two rounds,

The rapid fire part of a rifle competition calls for 10 rounds in 60 seconds, but Garand clips hold eight rounds. So you will need one of these to participate in or practice for the rapid fire portion of a competition.
The two round clip is a bit difficult to load, so you will need to practice and will want to shoot this clip first in the rapid fire portion of the match.

M1 Garand 2-round clip,
This review is from: M-1 Garand 2 Shot Clips (Misc.)
Brian J says it all therefore I do not have much to add to his review. I too participate in the same military rifle shoots as Brian. This is a great product, works good, ejects properly. The right tool for the right job. I have tried to make my own 2-round and 5-round clips...my efforts were rewarded with zero success. Buy the ready-made clips and save yourself all the headaches. This manufacturer knows what they are doing.

I bought this to use with a 2-pack of .30-06 snap caps. Serves its purpose well. Just be advised that it loads differently than the standard 8 round clips. You need to hold the op rod to the rear in order for the clip to lock in place, which means it requires two hands to load. Besides that, it feeds fine and ejects like a standard clip. You can load either end of the clip, so it technically holds 4 rounds at a time, however it will eject after firing two rounds. This could be a useful feature if you're training a new shooter and don't want a full clip loaded. Just fire two rounds, catch/retrieve the clip, and load it back in.
