Sound quality is rather good if you consider size of the device. No complaints there. The usability is such a problem though. DON'T BUY THIS if you intend to use it on 64 bit OS. Support for 64 bit isn't just poor, it is basically non-existing. Last drivers are year old by today. Thid device runs like charm on 32 bit XP - that's the only system where I didn't have problems with. I wouldn't buy this device and I think because of drivers I won't buy any M-audio in future.

I purchased this and installed the Nov-2009 driver from the M-Audio web site. It worked the first time I installed it, after that I received an error that the device was being used by another process every time I try to use it. After many hours of trying to get it fixed, no luck. I checked the forums at M-audio and found others are having the same problem. M-Audio admits there is a problem with the driver and it is scheduled to be fixed. That information was posted in the forums in Dec-2009. I purchased the device back then so I waited, thinking an update would be out in a few weeks or a month or two at the latest... It has now been 4 months... My advice is to avoid this product on Windows. The forums also indicate that people are having problems on other Windows OS platforms.

UPDATE - it is Nov 2011, Still no working update.

Very easy to use. Already had the USB driver installed on my MacBook Pro for M-Audio products. My system preferences recognized the the M-Audio Transit immediately and I was able to begin using right away! On a side note, M-Audio's website has USB driver updates available for download.
