I wish that the seal came in the 32 inch length, then no cutting or waste would occur. The old seal was removed and the door bottom cleaned. I measured the seal and cut it to the right length. Make sure that you clean the rusty grooves that hold the seal. I used a little mild grease to help slide the seal on. Do not use too much grease because the seal will slide off the grooves. Once on the door and the door replaced on it's hinges, the seal has worked well. CS

I bought this item to replace a broken-down door bottom of the same type. The item was easy to replace.

Once the door bottom was on, the door was really hard to open and close at first, because the fit was so tight. Now, after a few weeks of use, there seems to be no problem any longer.

There were two things I really appreciated with this purchase:
1: the drawing that serves as the picture is much more informative than an actual picture. There are several other types of replacement door bottoms out there and they mostly differ in what their profiles look like. The profile drawing enabled me to determine that the product matches exactly what I needed to replace.
2: The product was there to buy in the first place. I called up every store in town, and they were either unable to understand exactly what I needed, or did not have it in stock.

This was a hard to find item, and I can't believe I found it on Amazon. None of my local hardware stores had anything even close. I have 2 doors, and purchased 3 of these just in case I need them again!

Took about a week to receiver. The fin is exactly the same as the original,,,except the color was tan instead of the original dark brown. No biggie. To install, just grab the old one on both sides at the end and pull down away from door and then straight towards you(with the door open 30 degrees or so. Old one will slide right out and the new one will install in reverse. The door fit a little snug for a little while, but was tolerable. The model number of your door should either be on the hinge side or the top of the door.
