5.0 out of 5 stars a school girl crush
This story was so far the best of the Conveniently Yours series about the Bravo family. For years Lacey Bravo has had a secret love for Dr. Logan Severance, a man who is love with her sister. When Lacey's sister marries another man, she goes to Logan to offer some chocolate cake and a shoulder.......leads to a hot but brief affair. Nine months later Logan goes to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Read
This is #6 in Rimmer's Bravo series, the second of two about sisters. The previous book, The Millionaire She Married, actually contains the beginning of the romance in this one, but you won't miss much if you start here.

I loved the heroine, a former wild child, now easy going artist who falls for her sister's ex, the doctor that defines Establishment. I...

5.0 out of 5 stars a school girl crush, September 9, 2000
This review is from: The M.D. She Had To Marry (Conveniently Yours) (Silhouette 1345) (Paperback)
Nine months later Logan goes to Lacey and asks her to marry him. Lacey has taken off to her families cabin where she spends the time sketching, and missing Logan. Even though she loves Logan deeply she says "No I won't marry a man that is love with my sister." When Lacey gives birth, the baby begins to bring Lacey and Logan closer together, unwillingly, but irrevocably closer. A story that is emotional, intense and moving.

4.0 out of 5 stars The last thing she thought shed ever do, September 1, 2000
This review is from: The M.D. She Had To Marry (Conveniently Yours) (Silhouette 1345) (Paperback)
Nine months pregnant in a cabin on her cousin's Wyoming ranch, Lacey Bravo's worst fear becomes a reality when her ex-lover Dr. Logan Severance shows up and starts to demand she marry him. She had reluctantly informed him of the imminent birth of their child and her location because she thought he had the right to know. The last thing she wants to do is marry the man who is still in love with her sister. But marry him she will. Logan is sure of that one fact. What he's always wanted is a family and a woman to love him. Growing up with his austere father whose high expectations perpetuated his own, Logan knows little of love. So when he realizes Lacey loves him, he accepts it and proceeds to take it for granted. As a teenager, Lacey was always a rebel so Logan is touched when she makes a true attempt to embrace his way of life and his conservative associates. What she wants is his support of her work as an artist, an acceptance of her friends, and a way to smooth the rift that lies between him and her sister. But Logan's disdain and pride refuse to let him make any overtures in that direction until Lacey is forced to stand up to him for the sake of her own self and to help him realize what love really means.

Christine Rimmer has written a wonderful sequel to The Millionaire She Married. In this story, Logan, who was left rejected by Lacey's sister, must come face to face with the truth about himself. His high expectations have always precluded his happiness. Until Lacey, his life was stark and gray. But bringing Lacey into his life and into his home brings him a happiness that he takes for granted. He feels Lacey should be grateful for the stability he brings her. He is happy with the color she and their baby bring into his life but doesn't realize that his restrained manner and disdain for her friends and her work threaten the very thing she brings to their family, which he prizes. Lacey is a strong heroine who isn't afraid to bend and take a chance on happiness. She knows she loves Logan but she also understands that he wouldn't be above using that knowledge against her. She takes a chance that he will come to love her if they are married. Her insight helps her realize that he does though he can't say the words but she also realizes that she cannot be the one who gives entirely when it comes to their marriage. She knows she must preserve her own character and help Logan to have faith in the love she bears him.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE M.D. SHE HAD TO MARRY, September 9, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The M.D. She Had To Marry (Conveniently Yours) (Silhouette 1345) (Paperback)
I enjoyed this and felt Ms. Rimmer had a good time writing it. We were introduced to Lacey and Logan in THE MILLIONAIRE SHE MARRIED.I liked seeing all the people from previous books. It made them all seem to come alive again. All the characters from PRACTICALLY MARRIED are part of Lacey and Logan's childbirth and wedding. Tess is one of my favorite people in the series. She helps Lacey see Logan's love. Jenna, THE MILLIONAIRE SHE MARRIED, also helps her sister Lacey see Logan's love. Logan is such a straight-arrow that he finally has to learn to bend a little to express his love to Lacey. Good story!! Hate to wait till next fall for more of the Bravo family.

I love this story so much! Christine Rimmer has written a lot of books about the Bravo family but this is one book from the series that I truly enjoyed. Wonderful chemistry between the two protagonists, I must say. The plot is not very original but going through the process of reading their story is just so delightful. Two thumbs up!

I wasn't as enamoured of him; he's really tightly wound, and despite the usual self-revelations and loveswept promises at the end, she will be fighting his controlling impulses all their lives.

But there's a cast of interesting characters and the expected HEA at the end; I had a good time.
