5.0 out of 5 stars EXCEPTIONAL WITH EVENLY DISTRIBUTED LIGHTING

3.0 out of 5 stars Very good light with one big flaw.
This light is excellent while you are actively using it. If you position it right the light is pretty evenly distributed. It fits perfectly in the leather case that it is advertised with. I have had no trouble with glare at all. It is a great reading light.

My one big complaint is that when you are not actively using it, it does not store well at all. The...

This review is from: M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight for Sony Reader Touch Edition - Black (Electronics)
Having recently purchased the SONY Reader Touch Edition, I began seeking not only a protective case but also an external light. Unsatisfied with the product offered by SONY, I gave M-Edge a try. With the Light arriving six days ahead of Amazon's projection, I eagerly opened the box and prepared to test the light. The battery compartment, which holds one AAA battery seemed a bit snug and when I finally got the courage to push the battery deep inside, I found that a simple tap and the battery was easily accessible for removal. The light slips into the back of the M-Edge SONY Reader Touch Edition jacket and with a goose neck, it can easily be positioned. The light is quite evenly distributed over the screen and gives the illusion that the screen is actually back lit. Certainly at the bottom of the page the light falls off just a bit, but it is to such a small degree that is is not distracting to the reading experience. The light has two brightness settings which is another plus. I use rechargeable batteries so I am not concerned with battery life, but do understand that it is quite lengthy. The M-Edge e-Luminator2 is extremely light-weight, not adding any significant weight to the reader. Despite the light weight, it seems quite sturdy and well made. The M-Edge Reader jacket and light make a perfect addition to your reader, making it so convenient to do reading in low-light situations without having to resort to a lamp or overhead light. Five Stars going on Six!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very good light with one big flaw., February 8, 2010
This review is from: M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight for Sony Reader Touch Edition - Black (Electronics)

The light just sticks out of the top. If you put the light in the proper place in the top of the leather holder the light hangs out of the top. I have had to move it out of the proper place when I am not using it and put it all the way at the bottom. It still sticks out of the top, just not as bad. It is a real inconvenience because I always have to be very careful where I set it and how I carry it because I am afraid I will break the light.

I rate this 3 stars because it does function great while you are using it. I just wish the maker would have thought about what to do with it when you're not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This Light, January 23, 2010
This review is from: M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight for Sony Reader Touch Edition - Black (Electronics)
This is an excellent light. I had a mighty brite, but damaged it. I was considering the Sony cover with light, but changed my mind due to the price. The m-edge light is smaller than the mighty brite, but it does a very nice job illuminating my Sony Touch. It fits nicely in the jacket as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a book light. It takes one AAA battery and there are two illuminations.

I was a little hesitant about this light after reading reviews about the switch but I was getting the M-Edge cover and really wanted the convenience of having the appropriate light. It fits the cover seamlessly. The switch on the light is a little wonky but it seems to be pretty stable once you learn to use it. You have to wiggle it into place but once you get it there, it stays - it's not that hard to find the right place. I've never had the light go off or the switch move out of position once I got it there. It beats the heck out of carrying a separate, clip-on light around!

I purchased this light for its size and usability. It works very well with my Kindle and cover. The only downside is the on/off switch. While it functions, the switch is a little stiff and it is hard to know when it is in the fully off position. I also preferred this color to the white since it matches my case even though it is intended to be used with the Sony reader.

This light attaches easily and in very helpful in dark rooms. The light is even helpful if the room although lit does not throw enough light on the reader.

I like this product it lights up very well., but the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have to keep repositioning it...it doesn't cover the entire page but luckily its very flexible so bending and twisting it is easy. but overall I like...Maybe Sony will oome out with a reader that will eluminate.

I was worried that the glare would be too much for me to read comfortably with this light, but I was wrong. It's perfect! On the higher setting, positioned right above the Reader, there is no glare at all and the whole page is well-lit. I can't believe I've waited this long to order one of these. And it fits perfectly into the M-Edge Executive Jacket.
