5.0 out of 5 stars MIA - *THE* greatest game of all time
I bought this game in the UK in a collection box of 9 other games, but I don't play the others, as this is the greatest game I've ever played. Why is there no sequel? You may overlook this as just another war game, but this arcade/simulation-style portrayal of life in the Vietnam war as Captain Mann of the Air Cavalry is well planned and smooth as silk. The 3D graphics...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Choice
Please, DO NOT waste your money! I waited on this game for 2 weeks....it took about 2 seconds to discover this is a major loser. By todays standards, does not even rate notable mention unless possibly your still gaming on an XT with floppies. Amazon, do your customers a favor.....don't bother restocking this item.

The 3D graphics are outstanding (with no 3D card needed) and the attention to detail are spectacular. The helicopters represent faithful simulations of the most famous choppers of the war. The storylines covering '65-'75 are all based on real operations, and the videos finish the game a treat.

I flew most of these helicopters in Viet Nam during two tours from 1964 through 1968 and was astonished at the accuracry of the flight models. Many of the missions are very challenging, especially if played without the cheats enabled. There are 26 different missions each with 3 levels so there is something here for everyone. To really maximize the effects of mia it should be played with a joystick. Bottom line-it is one of my favorite games.

The most fun I've had shooting up pixels in years! I don't know about the realism aspects. But for sheer politically incorrect fun at blowing up things on your computer screen, this game is right up there with classics like Worms and Cannon Fodder.
