I would recommend that anyone purchasing this game because they love the M&M commercials, put it in your cart, wait a few days and think about it and then decide. There is definately an emotional response to the M&M characters that drives the purchase of this game. It is nothing special or great, but it's not terrible either. I am not exactly sure what demographic is the target of this game, but I hazard to guess that it will be one that will be owned a while and then resold/traded in, or gather dust. We purchased it for our almost 4 year old who has mastered the Go Diego Go game he got with the Wii when we got it for Christmas, but is too young for almost all other games (except Mario Kart!) He has not completely ruled it out yet, and he does immediately dislike some games sometimes, and he was slightly intrigued for a brief while today, so perhaps he will grow into it a bit over the next few months. It moves a little slowly in the beginning, if there were more interaction with the other characters or some immediate bad guys to throw candy at or something, maybe he would have been engaged more thoroughly and/or quickly. Now, that being said, the characters are cute and the game is colorful, so it does attract his attention that way. We also have not played terribly far into the game, but since there was a lack of any reivews, and I thought at least one preliminary one might help someone else, thought I'd post. If our opinion changes dramatically one way or the other, I will update the review. Right now I think I would just know your intended player. It may be better suited to a girl of slightly older age. My husband thinks it is terrible, but he is also having a great time playing Resident Evil as we speak, so he is certainly not the intended audience.

I have played this game for for several days, about an hour to hour and a half each time. Overall the game is boring, but I may not be the target audience either- I am over 30. I bought it because I LOVE M&M characters and anything to do with them; that is why I gave it a 3-star instead of 2-star. I thought this would be as fun or interesting as the old school Mario brothers as in N64 games. Well it is not. The graphics are mediocre at best. Just as the other reviewer stated it is very colorful and there are not alot of challenges to this game. You do run into some 'bad guys' that try and knock the coins out of you and shorten your 'life or energy'.
I would estimate the target audience would be from 4-10 yrs old and someone looking for an easy, no violence game, using some logic, task seeking, puzzle solving skills. Also, the M&M fan-just to say you did own/played the game; I say that because I did enjoy the M&M people in the game. The game thus far goes like this....... You see the opening scene RED, Yellow, and Green are packing up for the day, and then the alarm goes off. M&M's are lost in the factory and you have to find them. You start off as Red and you walk him thru different rooms collecting gold coins, silver coins, and the missing M&M's. There is a central room with a big gumball machine in which you deposit your M&M's into. Each character has different paths to visit. Thus far, I have only played as Red. Red's special feature is flying. The other characters also do special things. These features are only activated when your character needs to use them in particular rooms. When flying Red, you are using the Wii-mote and nunchuck. It was a bit tricky to get him to steer correctly and fly into the desired coins and M&M pieces; this is what gets me aggravated when playing the game. I think if the game's interface were a bit more smoother it would be a slight bit easier to watch. I guess that is why I can really only play for an hour. I will try to explain: Red is near a wall, but when making him look around you get X-ray vision through the wall and not where you are intending to look. Does that make sense? Also, Red is standing on a platform and you want him to jump to the next platform, sometimes turning him physically changes his view to see the platform, but then other times moving his point of view(head rotation) is best. I dunno if that was the intention of the game or not. Frankly I mostly enjoy shooter games such as Rainbow Six series, Call of Duty series, Halo series, etc... you get the idea. Whereas those types of games the head body movement is consistent with what you are doing and aiming for. I hope this helps, as I continue to play I will try to update the post.
