5.0 out of 5 stars Good value - adjustable seat angle
Not much to write: inexpensive and does the job perfectly.

The seat angle is adjustable contrary to what is said in a previous review - just need to loosen the screw and the whole top assembly can be moved along a U shaped groove in the top of the post. May not be the easiest, but certainly not hard.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fits Well and all the pieces came with it!
Fits right, all screws and pieces came with it and are easy to screw. It's a little heavier than I expected, but I should have paid more attention to the specs before I bought it.

The seat post weighs 13 ounces (368 g), but at least it's 4 ounces lighter than the shock-absorbing post I replaced. It also has an inexpensive brushed finish.

I can see why some reviewers were confused about the seat angle adjustment. With most posts the teeth that lock in the angle are visible, but with this post they are hidden. However, they definitely exist, and work as well as other posts that I have had experience with.

For the price this is a great buy! If you want less weight and a nicer finish, there are lots of more expensive posts to choose from.

Bought this as a replacement for a Schwinn Ranger bike from Target. Easy installation, works fine. The adjustable top gives you plenty of room to position the seat where you want it.

I used this seat post to replace a worn out seat post on my 10+ year old trek 820 mountain bike. It is of solid construction but yet didn't feel too heavy. I was able to attach my seat with no problems. At this price it can't be beat. I haven't seen any cons to it yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hey it's a post, March 18, 2011

The M-Wave is a decent post, weighing in at 12 oz. - not the lightest seat post but considerabaly lighter than my suspension post. I would have given it 5 stars but the tilt adjustment could go down a little more. But, all-in-all I like it. It's 350 mm long.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the price you cannot beat this seat post!, January 4, 2011

My old seat and post were stolen recently so I had to purchase some new equipment and one of my criteria was to be effective, but still not cost an arm and a leg. After spending a lot of money on my bike I didn't want to spend hundreds more for a post and seat that might get stolen again. This post is honestly just what I wanted. It was extremely cheap, but still very good quality. It's a little heavy compared to some of the lighter posts out there, but if you want to spend $50 just to shave off a pound then go ahead. I think most people would prefer to save the money though and still get an extremely good quality post. Also, this post is very adjustable in all ways and angles so you can set it to the exact angle you prefer.

All in all, if you want a quality product that is very affordable then buy this post!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!, November 28, 2010

This seat post is great! I just got it in the mail and have installed it on my bike. I do some heavy mountain bike riding, and I have no reason to believe this won't hold up to the pounding. It doesn't seem flimsy...

For 8 bucks, I'm not sure how you are going to beat it. Honestly, I don't understand why people pay much more for a seat post. A seat post! Are they trying to save a couple hundred grams (0.4 pounds)?

The tilt adjustment works great. A little shifting when tightening the hex nut will put it in place.

The adjustment that controls the position of the seat slips, thus the 3 stars. I am a big guy 6'3" 300lbs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works, but unimpressive, July 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: M-Wave Seat Post (Sports)
It is sort of corrugated, so there isn't much micro-adjusting, it has a series of steps. So it holds securely, but not a whole lot of options on tilt. Seems cheaply made and hard to put together and use compared to the seat post on my other bike. Still, it's better than what's on most big box bikes.
