Maple hard wood is an attractive wood with a fine even texture, a generally straight grain and pale creamy white to yellow color. It can be somewhat difficult to work with and to avoid splitting pre-boring is advisable when nailing and screwing. It both glues and finishes fairly well. Given its strength and durability maple is commonly used in a wide range of products such as: flooring, cabinets, furniture, butcher blocks and musical instruments. From our own mill, Nucasa has been crafting solid wood moldings since 1983.
