This illustrates how you cannot trust anything about HP anymore. I did buy that printer back in July. HP may rate the cartridge for 1600 pages, but ours lasted for about 200. And that includes using all the shaking tricks in the book to get as much toner as possible out of it while awaiting a new fully-filled cartridge. So you should consider this just a starter cartridge to test the printer and know that you are happy with it before you invest the considerable money in a full toner cartridge.
I'm not happy with the software that came with it, either. It's flaky on two of our five systems. And it was written by people who think we should all use the product only in the particular way that they envision us using it. There's no flexibility. No configurability.
