I'm in my mid-twenties so I'm mostly using this for hyperpigmentation from the sun and not for wrinkles. It works great for sun damaged skin and it lasts a really long time, my brown spots are fading though I would also like to add that I alternate between M2 and Retin-A every other night. This has made my skin very smooth and glowing, no more uneven tones on my forehead and cheekbones, it has completely changed my skin though I would still like to see my brown spots go away completely. I have been using this product for 6 months and they say that you need to wait at least 8 to see a dramatic difference, so patience is a must!

This lotion is excellent. It is the only thing I have found to be effective in evening out my skin tone and diminishing the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Consistency is important. I use this each evening on clean skin, and after 15 minutes apply a moisturizer. That last part is very important: use a moisturizer over this and be sure to wear sunscreen during the day. I begin to experience dryness if I skip the moisturizer and wear a hat/sunscreen every day outdoors. I started slow with this though, using it every other night, building up to every night over time. It is strong, smells odd and leaves a film on the skin, but--it works extremely well for me.

I have extremely sensitive skin that is prone to chemical/environmental allergic reactions. I was very concerned that this lotion would be too strong for me. However, after the initial period of adjustment, I now just feel a mild tingling sensation when the lotion is applied. I exfoliate using a gentle jojoba oil facial massage (sometimes mixed with sugar in the shower during the winter) about once each week.

Over the last 6 months, I've seen a dramatic improvement in the tone and texture of my skin. Friends and family have asked me what I've been doing and my confidence is beginning to be restored. I highly recommend the lotion.

But--here is the downside: the packaging is ineffective. The design of the bottle is elegant and a fantastic idea in theory, but it does not work well. This is my 3rd bottle of M2 Skin Refinish 20%. Of 3 bottles, 2 have broken almost immediately. Because it is an expensive lotion, I've just broken open the container to access the lotion. However, I intend to contact the company about this, because I should not have to use a hammer and pliers to get to the product.

OK! I can honestly say that I have tried lot's and lot's of products from fancy ($$$$) to drug store brands. I didn't care, as long as the product worked. Well, my quest is over! This serum is amazing! I've noticed a huge difference in just days and now it's been weeks and counting. I suffer an occasional break out, have melasma from sun damage and am showing signs of fine lines and wrinkles. Sounds like I would need a miracle, but this serum handles it. In a short time, my skin is completely clear, smoother, pores are tighter, wrinkles are softened and my skin is now more even toned. I just ordered the rest of the M2 line products too (out of curiosity), because the refinish serum works so well. I'm also extremely happy that I am not spending a fortune!!! YOU MUST WEAR A GOOD SUNSCREEN during the day when using this product.

I've been using this for about 2 weeks and have seen some improvement in my hyperpigmentation and acne so far ( I hope to update later with more information about the results), but I really have to complain about the bottle this comes in. It's a silly little twist up mechanism that doesn't seem to squirt much out. Turns out there is no straw inside to suck up the lotion and you actually have to turn it upside down...not very useful.

I've been looking for something to clear up my skin and even out my skin for years! I am almost 30 and this is it! I rarely get a zit now, and my skin looks GREAT!

I used this to reduce my acne scars/hyper-pigmentation and it works! It sluffs off old skin super fast and allows your skin to regenerate. Can cause a bit of peeling when used twice a day but not bad. I have been using it over a month and I think the best approach is to use intensely for a week or two and then give your skin a day or two to recover so it doesn't get fed up and start peeling. I also starting using Bobbi Brown's intensive serum to help my skin not peel and regenerate some lovely new skin cells after the old ones were all gone and the combination is a match made in heaven! Do beware though- this product WILL BLEACH your towels/pillowcases so be careful!

Best product I have ever come across for acne-prone skin/scars. Unlike anything else so well worth the money! It's actually a rather large bottle and since it works best in small amounts it's a great value. I have had mine about a month and I haven't even used 20% of it yet!

Four stars because I was expecting better results for my dry lines as well but it hasn't made any difference whatsoever in that department.

I have to say, the slight sting of the acids was a bit much at first, and I don't have sensitive skin, but in a few weeks my frown lines were prsctically invisible. At my 20th High School reunion they all said I looked great, and were very jealous that I didn't have wrinkles or lines - I said to myself, "Thank God". Taking care of myself was paying off.

I absolutely love this product! I have real bad acne prone skin and my scars are taken care by this serum. I wear it at night and my skin rejuvinites due to this serum. I have been using this for a year now and I just cant stop buying it over and over again. I ordered the whole line of products. The cleaners and moisturizers is great as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great skin in a short time. If you have sensitive skin then start with 12% then go to 20% if you want more effect. Start low go slow. Be patient and you will see the rewards.

I tried this product for hyperpigmentation caused by sunburn. But it make my skin more sensitive to sun. So I don't suggest this product to people with sensitive skin.

I absolutely love this product and just put in an order for my second bottle. I am in my early 40s and prior to using this product, suffered from adult acne since my early 20s, particularly during my cycle. I have not had a single breakout since I started using M2, which has been around 6 months. My skin looks smoother, particularly on my forehead.

On the downside, I have not noticed much difference with the one (rather large) age spot that I have. Although, I must add that I have tried lasers at the dermatologist made specifically for age spots and the lasers did not work either. I agree with others that commented on the poor design of the bottle.
