As a single female, I didn't think I would like this book. After a friend told me about it, I was interested in seeing what the talk was about and read it...I couldn't put it down, it was so interesting. I love hearing from men's point of views on how they think they know what women want and need. I was shocked that I actually agreed with the writers on just about every tip in the book! I told all my girlfriends they should read it too, just reverse the male version to the female version, it applies to everyone. I would highly recommend this book, it is a great gift also!

I've read a number of books in the dating/seduction genre, a lot of which tend to recycle the same information. Mack Tactics is an explosion of fresh ideas, clever writing, and one hell of a unique twist: one of the authors, Christopher Curtis, is a former top hostage negotiator. This gave him an incredible understanding of the power of words and phrasing, and how to quickly create bonds with people and keep a conversation flowing.

Mack Tactics explains how to take these negotiator techniques and apply them to how you interact with women, with your boss, anyone who you want a "tactical advantage" with. The methods it teaches are easy to follow and apply. But I was surprised to find the book is about much more than that. It's really a step-by-step blueprint that teaches guys how to be more confident, skilled, and desirable to women....from confidence-building exercises, to fashion tips, to how to get a great conversation going, "negotiate" a girl's phone number, and take her out on a memorable first date.

Very cool stuff. I remember seeing this book written up in FHM Magazine a few months ago and I'd been waiting for it to come out. It's a fun read, and it's packed with tips that I've already started using. (The chapters on "Hypotheticals" and how to generate "I.O.U.s", a classic negotiator technique, are worth the price alone!)

This book sheds a different perspective on the dating scene; which, most people wouldn't even thinking about dating in this way. Definitely a good read for anyone that wants to understand their partner or potential partner.

The title is M.A.C.K Tactics -- The Science of Seduction Meets the Art of Hostage Negotiation. I probably would've subtitled it The Science of Hostage Negotiation Meets the Art of Seduction, but either way, this isn't your average dating self-help book. M.A.C.K Tactics shows men how to approach and communicate with women -- all women, from supermodels to great-grandmothers -- with confidence, decency, and style, though without allowing themselves to be compromised, or victimized, by the current feminized expectations of malehood. Instead, M.A.C.K Tactics takes a male-empowerment approach to communicating in general and dating in particular. What you learn through these well-explained and exemplified techniques carries over into all aspects of your life. I know this -- not only from the profound ways that the book has changed me, but also from the growth and confidence I've seen in my two teenage sons since I began sharing the M.A.C.K. strategies with them. I wish someone had taught me these lessons when I was their age; it would've saved me, oh, about 35 years of mostly unsuccessful relationships with the opposite sex. And at a shipped price of $14.84 from Amazon, it's a bargain to boot. Highly recommended.

Alas, a book on this topic that brings a completely unique approach to the game of macking. Refreshing, humorous, and completely on-point from start to finish, this book is in a league of its own.

Rather than struggling to stay awake while reading another lame book written by your everyday wanna-be Mack, take a look through the eyes of a hostage negotiator at how Macking can - and should - be done from this day on. From building an immediate level of trust with a woman, to eliminating your fears and heightening your level of self-confidence like never before, this book serves up tons of scenarios and suggestions to help unleash the mack in all of us.

Through the implementation of hostage negotiation tactics, co-authors Curtis and Wiser examine real-life situations to bring these methods to light. Learn how to change from wack to Mack virtually overnight by taking inventory on what you've been doing in the past, and by learning how changes in different areas of your lifestyle and approach towards women can make you highly successful in the future.

Highlights for me included the "Ten Mack Commandments", which include the importance of guiding the conversation, maintaining eye contact, and the fact that every interaction with a female is an opportunity.

Other favorites of mine are learning the applied methods of a hostage negiotiator, as Christopher Curtis includes the importance of conversation control and how important one's ability to convey a calming non-threatening presence is. After all, the author has talked people out of crazy situations (IN Vegas of all places) when it comes to being a hostage negotatior - When it comes to macking, no one's life is in peril, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. With this being the case, Curtis takes the role of mack and runs with it. With obstacles stiff armed and excuses run around, Curtis finds the endzone more times than not. Read his tips and add them to your own playbook, and I assure you that you'll soon be doing the same.

I have to admit that when I first heard of the idea of the book, I had my doubts. It was only when I started to read each chapter that I realized all the parallels between a hostage negotiator and a man when he approaches a woman for the very first time. How to build a strong level of trust while learning more about the person and providing them with a sense of ease and security....It's hard to describe, but plain to see once you check out this book = Learn to drop gems, make a woman chase you, and check out the closing chapters as it becomes apparent that through the implimenation of these tactics, the world of macking can indeed be yours. See for yourself how the game may never be the same thanks to Curtis and Wiser.

Many of the books written on dating today are from "gurus" like David D., Ross Jeffries, Mystery, Neil Strauss (not necessarily a guru but worked with the best). The authors of this book bring an entirely different persepctive to the dating world. They discuss many of the same techniques in a way that is far more palatable to the average male who does not see women as his only source of affirmation. Great book, good advice.

Every book on this topic has at least one jewel of a nugget. The pieces that stuck out most in my own head is the premise that you as the guy, (contrary to societies preachings and brow beatings) are in fact a person.

You are allowed to have your own rules, your own boundaries. This books one contribution to my own pursuits on this topic is to communicate and enforce those rules and boundaries so a woman does not run ripshod all over you. We deserve the same level of courtesy and respect as women demand from us.

It's a great dating book. Very useful tactics one can use to level the playfield with women. One technique that really stands out is the IOU (not to be confused with IOI's, hehe), which I believe is worth the price of the book. You can probably write another book based on that one technique alone because there's so many great applications for it.
But this book is NOT a pick-up book;It's a dating book. Most of these techniques are best used in a more intimate 1 on 1 situation with a women. These techniques are not going to make you get all enthused and go out to your local mall and start "macking it" to every hotty in site. (at least it didn't for me. Nonetheless it's a fun read and a great way to improve your dating life 2 fold.

This type of literature captures the very essence of what the male species is all about.
This isn't just a book about seduction, it's a book for a man to relate and communicate in a woman's world to a woman without compromising himself. It's a clever masterpiece that defines and sets accord confidence. Women are intrigued by men who feel confident in their own skin to tactfully approach a woman, with style, flair, and decency.
It's an elucidation of the female that men thought was a secret code to never be broke but its pure simplicity. It's well written and crafted by 2 men, who were brave to pose the right questions to women in order to understand them...

Finally there is a book that really goes deep into they way it really is!! Mack tactics is not a book on how to pick up women, like all the other books. This is a book that provides the tools to discovering your true self and being true to who you really are! Mixed in with some great tips and amazing insight, this book gets 5 stars any day of the week. Thank you Rob and Chris for finally creating something that every guy can relate to and easily read. I read this book in three days and couldn't put it down. The results I have seen in myself and with women have been through the roof. I want the audio tapes and I will sure be there the 18th for Mack week in Vegas!!! Thanks again guys!
