5.0 out of 5 stars It's a Case
It's a case. It fits well. It looks good. Nothing fancy, but it's what I was looking for.

3.0 out of 5 stars Magellan Triton 1500
Disappointed that this model base map might as not be there I returned the item.
The SD was limited to 8GB and couldn't use SDHC.
You have t buy the street and topo maps. Might be fine if I could trust that they would have the roads and trails for hiking and camping and canoing in the Adirondacks.

My B&W old Magellan Map 330 was fine. I had the...

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a perfect fit for my Triton GPS as expected., November 16, 2011

The size is correct. There is also a belt loop that allow you to carry it either horizonally or vertically on you belt. It also holds two fresh batteries as well. The only thing I would have liked is a hole in the case positioned to allow my earphones to plug in the jack of the GPS, while it's in the case.

Well made with a nice zipper and belt loop for attaching to belt, backpack, whatever. Only complaint is that it's not exactly a "custom" fit for my GFS. GPS is a little loose inside, but not terribly so. Good case for the $.

5.0 out of 5 stars But you don't mention the CASE!, July 7, 2009

I was looking for a review of the Triton Carrying Case, NOT Magellan's customer service for the unit itself! Put that review with the Triton GPS BUT NOT THE CASE. I'm 'shouting' because Mr. Branger's is apparently so angry that he won't 'hear' me if I don't.

My B&W old Magellan Map 330 was fine. I had the Mapsend streets and roads and I bought the Topo.
Apparently they no longer make their own maps and depend upon others. It was stolen.

I returned the Trton and bought the DeLorme PN-40 which came with the Delome(they are map makers) Topo 8.
Love. I don't have the voice to record the waypoint info (that I wanted) and I don't have the touch screen (not really needed).

It works like my old Magellan.

My friend paid $[...] for his Garmin and he got a [...]. But, he got no maps for that huge price. Ouch.

At any rate, I loaded up the SD car (it came with a 2GB (easily replaced) and it has 500 MB internal memory.
I can't wait to see more of what they are doing with the GIS data overlaps on the maps. Very powerful stuff if you have the datasets to overlap.

Richard
