The tricks here, especially the card tricks, are very good and very classic, and (amazingly) to not require advanced manipulation techniques. A beginner can learn all of them in a few days by following Micah's step-by-step instructions. This is -not- one of the usual run of close-up magic books which seem to randomly mix trivial self-working tricks and professional-level slights, usually with far from sufficient explanation and no orderly plan for learning.This book won't make you an expert, but is definitely the very best one to get if you'd like to learn the basics. I hope it stays in print forever!

This book teaches professional quality trick in easy,understandable directions. I have seen the author perform these trick to live audiences with impressive results. I f you only buy one magic book this should be it.

It was the first book about magic in my magic library. It is really perfect for beginners, specially the cards chapter.
