5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a great battery pack!
I have been using my Rechargable Mag light with the Ni-Cad Battery Pack for over five years. It charges when I am not using the light and when I pick it up to use the light these batteries really hold a charge. I take it on trips without even bringing the charger. It is one of my favorite tools. The battery does not leak and it is ZERO trouble. I recommend this light...

2.0 out of 5 stars These batteries leaked for me
My mag charger flashlight was working well a month ago, but today I tried it and it was dead. Put it on the AC charger, as usual, but after 8 hours it was hot (the flashlights body) so I tried the light (still charging), and nothing happened. Upon opening the tailcap, white powder dumped out, and the insides are totally corroded. Thankfully it didn't start a fire or...

2.0 out of 5 stars These batteries leaked for me, June 2, 2008
My mag charger flashlight was working well a month ago, but today I tried it and it was dead. Put it on the AC charger, as usual, but after 8 hours it was hot (the flashlights body) so I tried the light (still charging), and nothing happened. Upon opening the tailcap, white powder dumped out, and the insides are totally corroded. Thankfully it didn't start a fire or explode. The flashlight is useless now. This was my second battery I've had but it leaked badly.

ps - I always charged it for at least 12 hours, and this battery was obtained directly from mag instruments.

Okay, the "battery" is cheeper but there is that $8 shipping you need to consider. Amazon has the free shipping option. Oh yeah, great battery. Super great flaslight system!

I never knew how much my old battery was lacking until I received this new battery and gave my flashlight a new lease on life. Amazon also has an excellent price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beware of junk!, June 25, 2009

This the second replacement battery pack I have purchased. What sets this one apart is the price. Most places want $40, or more, for this battery pack. I still feel that a $10 to $15 price range would be fair. But, paying half price does make me feel better.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I don't use the flashlight everyday, so when I tried it for the second time, just past the thirty day return period, I found that it was defective. Guess what Nobody would warranty it!

5.0 out of 5 stars MagLight Battery, February 14, 2010

Have only had the new battery for a few weeks, but, so far, it works as advertised. Actually, it isn't what I ordered; the Ni-Cad replacement battery. I received the newer NiMH battery instead. No problem, tho, as they say it works with the old charger, and it seems to do just that. I used my original Ni-CAD battery for close to 7 years, and it still works pretty good, but I've had to charge it every day for the past couple of years. I use my light for at least 30 minutes almost every night, and the new battery holds it's charge for several nights before I recharge. When these batteries discharge, they go dead all at once. There's no gradual discharge as with old batteries so don't get caught needing light with no way to charge-up. This is a great flashlight; the best I've ever owned, and these new batteries are doing their job. Only Time will tell if they're going to last anywhere near as long as the originals did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ni Cad Rechargeable Battery Stick, November 24, 2009

My last Maglite battery finally croaked after about seven+ years of usage. So after seeing the prices of these items at a local retailer, I looked online and found this item at substantial savings. So far so good, my ancient Streamlight SL-20 has no idea there is yet another Maglite battery within it. After working in the Police Equipment business for decades, I determined from our repair department (me), that Maglite batteries outlasted all others and were actually quite competitively priced with the cheaper brands of knock-off batteries on the market. It has been my experience that the Maglite battery can take slightly more abuse from fumble fingered operators.

If you have ever bought a short-life battery for your mag you'll love this one. My distributor "saved" me money by switching to a cheaper battery that didn't last. These are time tested and last me nearly 5 yrs. on the job and then I give them to my brother-in-law who gets another two out of them. I am very pleased with this product.
