This bulb is much brighter than the standard bulb the flashlight came with. With the standard bulb there was always a hole in the center of the beam. With this bulb the hole is gone and I have a pinpoint beam that really light things up at long distances. Great bulb for an upgrade without the expense of the led kit.

I have a very small dog and she likes to go out after dark. She is black and tan. I needed a brighter light to see her because she is very fast. This bulb is just what I need. I have large yard and I can follow her over the entire yard without having to chase her. I highly recommend this upgrade to your flashlight. Great for power outages also.

Notably brighter and hotter than the Krypton bulbs. Despite a shortened battery life, a definite improvement if you value candlepower.

I used to use Halogen bulbs in my Mag-Lite flashlights until Mag-Lite came out with their new Krypton bulbs. But these Xenon bulbs are even brighter than the improved Krypton bulbs. I recommend them for anyone who has a Mag-Lite or similar style of flashlight. Good job, Mag-lite.

The brightness of it is terrible. It is easy to connect to flash light, but we were looking for something very bright for the maglite.

A better replacement bulb than the standard that came with my maglite. The light focuses well and makes a straight beam as well. My other light was crooked. This one is much much better in every way.

Honestly, I couldn't really tell any difference between this xenon bulb and the factory installed krypton bulb. Looking at maglite's website, it had a wide range of performance difference's between different size lights with xenon vs krypton and the 4 to 6 cell lights had only about 20% greater lumens, so not much of a difference in a nutshell.

Just bought this item at Home Depot. Works great in an old 3-cell flashlight. Only paid $2.97 plus tax for the same part number. Liked it so much I thought I would check Amazon's price. Home Depot has the better deal on this item.

I ordered it because the bulb in my 3 D batteries Maglite shattered. When I got it, I opened the package and tried to fit in but it was too small. For what I paid for, it isn't worth paying to ship it back. I'm giving it 1 star for misleading.
