More About the Author

My name is David Jay Ramsden, I was born in Cheadle, Cheshire, England in 1953. I was eductaed at Moseley Hall Grammar School and enjoyed sport...I hated school and I hated the bullies who were supposed to be teachers! I began writing at grammar school and had several items printed in school magazines which went on to the County magazine. My first book was published in 1999 and was entitled The Crowman Cometh, it was published by Minerva who went bust shortly after! I hope it wasnt my fault. I had my second novel Inspector Doyle Daly: The Rise and Fall of the Phoenix published in 2010 by Pneuma Springs but I decided to try publishing on Kindle Direct with my next five novels. I am pleased with the results and with Kindle. My main ambition is to be able to write as a career and create a character like Jack Reacher in the Lee Child novels. I will keep trying to write good stories with a strong plot line. The fourth Inspector Doyle Daly book is not too far from completion. It is entitled the Ballymun Boys and is as humorous and enthralling as the other three.I have just finished another book called 'Malcolm: Beyond Anger' and it is set in Manchester, England in 1975 when Malcolm Bridges is found guilty of a six million pound fraud. The money belongs to Johnny Jones Manchester's most viscious crime Lord. He wants his money back and he wants Bridges head on a platter. Malcolm maintains his innocense and a rookie cop that worked on the case also believes that the crime was committed by someone else. A tense and exciting thriller which can be downloaded free for a short period.
Now I would like to introduce Gomes, a Brazilian hero. I am immensley proud of this character, he is everything I always wanted to be and much more! The first book is now available and the second book is close to finishing. I moved to Brazil in September 2012 and a 3 day coach journey from Joao Pessoa in Paraiba State to Santa Rita De Sepucai in Minas Gerias inspired the book. I hope my writing reflects this wonderful country, so diverse and so different.
