Great Bottles and Fun too!,
By
This review is from: Sassy MAM BPA Free Bottle (Baby Product)
Our little guy was doing okay on plain medela bottles and generic tops until he was about 5 months old, when he became a baby-vacuum cleaner and started sucking so hard he'd turn the nipples inside out from the negative pressure inside the bottle. We hated the Dr. Browns because of the cost, the hour I spent scrubbing 3 ounces of breast milk from the inside of my diaper bag when the Dr. Brown bottle leaked, and the annoying parts to clean. We are big fans of the MAM pacifiers, and now the bottles as well! I tested the leak-ability - filled up the bottle and shook it, banged it and dropped it, and didn't see a drop come out. So far, the baby doesn't cough and choke like he did with the un-vented bottles. And the parts all come apart and assemble easily, and go in the dishwasher without problems!

We love these bottles!!,

Our daughter is 5 months old. We've tried Avent, Dr. Browns, Parent's Choice, Platex..and finally MAM. That's where our search ended. We love these bottles.. they're BPA free, easy to clean, reasonably priced and our daughter loves them as well. You can hear the air escaping from the botton, so you know it's not going into her tummy...I would recommend these bottles to anyone!

Sassy Baby's Mam 9 oz bottle (3 pk),

This review is from: MAM BPA Free 8 oz Bottle for Boy, 3-Pack (Baby Product)
My son was using the "Born Free" bottles since he was born and I like them a lot and he just started to teeth & chew on everything that comes into contact. Feeding took a lot longer than usual. So, I was searching for something more affordable and bigger (8+ oz) bottles because he out grown his little 5 ozers. I came across the Mam's bottles that most people rated it 4-5 stars. I said what the heck, I'll give it a try. (My son is not colic by the way) I do like the bottles and my son eats so much faster without playing & chewing on the nipples. He perfer these nipples now than the Born Free. The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't know the bottom comes apart and if it's not screw on properly, it leaks all over the place. The bottles are wider, so if you want to warm up the bottle in hot water, it doesn't fit in a mug & it leaks a little bit. Now I use the Mam's nipples on my born free bottles, which works out great for me and my son. If you ask me if I will buy these bottles again, the answer is a no but I will definately purchase the nipples again.

Great nipple shape and air control, poor design,

After getting a ton of other bottles that my baby rejected, i found the shape of these nipples to be accepted almost immediately. And the air is gradually let in so my baby didn't need to stop to let the air in through the nipple. Unfortunately, the special design of the screw bottom system does leak randomly. Even if you tighten it after filling it, it can become loose and leak (maybe the
heat of the milk? I'm not entirely sure.) so that was truly annoying losing milk through the bottom! And if you try unscrewing it one-handed (which is often the case) by holding onto the base of the bottle, you can inadvertantly loosen the bottom and again have milk leaking everywhere. Last peeve-you can't use traditional bottle warmers which require you to place the bottle in a warm water bath because the holes in the anti-colic design allow the hot water to collect in it. Then you end up with hot water on you or your baby when you tip it upside down. I was very surprised nobody else wrote of these issues when i researched bottles. But since my baby only liked the shape of this nipple, i'm stuck with them!

Awesome bottles for switching between bottles and breastfeeding!,
This review is from: MAM BPA Free 8 oz Bottle for Girl, 3-Pack (Baby Product)
These bottles are great. My little girl (who was in the NICU for the first week b/c of digestion issues) seems to like these nipples most of all. She also rarely spits up. I tried many other, more expensive bottles and these were by far the best. I would recommend these to anyone who switches between bottles and breastfeeding as there has been no "confusion" for the baby. I also really like the Platex Drop-Ins but the measurements are not accurate.

Awesome Bottles & SAFE Too!,

We had been using Avent bottles with our daughter since she was 4 weeks old, and they were OK, but when she started eating more than 4 oz at a time we started looking for a larger bottle. After doing some research online, I decided to switch her from Avent altogether because they are a little sketchy on the ingredients in their bottles: they were one of the last companies to remove BPA despite consumer protests and they don't divulge whether or not their current products contain phthalates or PVC. I saw the MAM bottles on a Safe Products list on [...], so I looked into them and liked what I saw: not only are they BPA, PVC, and phthalate free, but they always have been, and the company does not and has never used any of these harmful ingredients in any of their plastic baby products. I feel more comfortable giving my business to a company that truly has children's safety in mind, and I'm glad I did - not only are these bottles safe, but they're affordable and my baby loves them! She never gets gas anymore like she did with the Avent bottles and she seems comfortable and content after a feeding. They are also easy to clean and sterilize, and we've never had any leaks with them (our Avent bottles would sometimes leak for no real reason). Not to mention, they're really cute!! I would highly recommend these bottles to anyone looking for a safe, affordable, and adorable option :)

Easy to clean, pretty good looking, nice shape, bpa free. What else can beat that? Tried MilkBank and Tommee Tippee before - MAM's are by far better.

Bottles great. Haven't seen the color come off the bottles like other within few washes. Babies under 1 will have hard time to hold the bottle. Can't use any other nipples except the one shown on the picture. Those are reason I rate them one star down. That may increase cost for long run. Vendor was really fast in shipping and price is great.

Great bottles = One happy momma,

My baby took a bottle when she was about a month old, then when she was about 3 or 4 months she decided she was done with a bottle. I read a bunch of reviews of these bottles and decided to give it a shot. I tried the first night I got them and it took a little bit of trying, but she took the bottle! These are the only bottles that she will take. There were some of the reviews that say that they leak, but if you get the bottom on tight enough they wont leak (and if you don't get it on tight enough, it is easy enough to flip it over and retighten the bottom). I love these bottles because I have the freedom to leave for longer than 2 hours.

I love these bottles and they have made a huge improvement in the amount of air my infants swallow. I've tried the Playtex Drop-ins, Avent and Milk Bank and these have made the most significant difference in the amount of gas produced.
The venting works really well and the shape of the bottle's nipple actually helped my daughters latch better with breastfeeding. The bottles have a #2 nipple so the flow is pretty fast, if I had known how well they worked I would have gotten the 5oz bottles with the slower flow just so I could use this bottle. They do have multiple pieces and you have to be VERY careful to assemble them properly or they WILL leak, but so worthwhile. Update: 3 months later and still loving these bottles. I think I finally have the assembly down pat, but I put water in after putting it together to double check. Outside print as clear as ever, no fading or blurring. Has a "self-sterilization" feature, put water in the bottom, place nipple in the bottom, screw body of bottle over both, cover with the plastic top and it can be microwaved for 3 minutes to sterilize. Their website describes it and has a short video, good to know. |
