5.0 out of 5 stars medium format finally affordable, January 10, 2006

This review is from: MAMIYA 645E Rapid Pro Value Pack 6x45 Camera System (Electronics)
Of course, film is not as practical than digital but do consider that for the price of a 35mm film camera, you can get this beauty and shoot negatives that are 3 times the size of 35mm. That means you'll be able to scan well over 20 million pixels from your negs and this with greater dynamic range that any digital camera out there (even those worth 7,000 dollars).

This camera is quite heavy and the focus is manual so it is only suitable for portrait work and landscape.

You can find this camera second-hand in very good condition for less than 500 dollars (I got mine from adorama through ebay).
