More About the Author

I live and write on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. With the ocean and a beautiful city harbour just steps from my door, I consider myself one very lucky writer. But I have to say that my real luck is being married to Tim, my first and final husband.

I am the polar opposite of the revered Domestic Goddess. I enjoy solitude and all things book-related, tolerate some required physical activity for my health's sake and have, over time, come to the conclusion that life is not a bowl of cherries; it's more a mix of hocus pocus, good and bad surprises, and unexpected rainfall. All of which is completely beyond my control. I'm not sure I trust the Universe's running of things, but I respect it. I do trust in the power of a good book. Books have been my companions, friends, and teachers all of my life. They've introduced me to amazing characters and taken me away on grand vacations, sometimes for as little as .99 cents.

I write both contemporary romance and romantic suspense, the latter because sometimes a nasty and conniving villain pops into my head and I just have to get him out.

I mess with Facebook occasionally: bits about my books and occasional thoughts on life when it gets particularly confusing. I also noodle around on Twitter, never quite knowing why.

I have a Website with most of my books listed, although Amazon does a much better job of staying current with that information than I do.

Just wrapped up reading A Man Called Blue last evening and was again pleased by the warm and fuzzy feeling I had when closing the cover on my kindle on another EC Sheedy book. You will find the story of Simone and Blue is definitely steamy at times and filled with the ups and down for the couple as Simone struggles with inner conflict with family and professional strife while she sorts out who she is and what kind of future she sees herself in. Blue is blindsided when he stands in for a injured friend only to find the ice princess who is his temporary employer holds more of his heart in the first meeting than he ever dreamed.

A wonderful romp of read jetting across the globe and warming your heart and curling your toes. Don't miss it!

Fairly predictable romance, but the characters are nicely developed throughout the story. I liked it and will undoubtedly re-read it.

Pretty good story. Predictable but a fun light read. I got it when it was free. I would have been totally disappointed if I had to pay over a dollar for this story. To me it's not worth 3 bucks. So my advice to anyone that wants to read this is to wait for it to go on sell or if it comes up free again.

nothing sexier than a well written story about the mix of business with pleasure. While others are looking for Mr. Right, readers of this book will be looking for Blue!

A Man Called Blue is a wonderful modern day story. Funny. Tense. Sad. And yes - hot sex. And having the hot Jimmy Thomas on the cover is a bonus!

Imagine giving up corporate America for something you always wanted to do and then be thrust back into it against you will but you can't let a friend down so you do it.

Simone is a tense, ice cold woman raised by a mother who is known as the Ice Queen. Into this comes Blue ... Thomas Bludell, a former corporate negotiator who now lives on a boat off the coast of Seattle. It is a clash that is at times laughable, at times tense, but very real.

Good job EC Sheedy!

Just not for me. I like a little more depth and mystery in the books I read even though I have a grandson called Blue.
