5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth the money, October 17, 2004
Coming in at 1.2 pounds, this may be the lightest monopod available. That, along with the wrist strap, make it so convenient to carry that I once forgot that I had it with me.

The locking mechanism on the shaft is brilliant. Instead of having screws, knobs, or levers that come loose, or locking pins that limit the height positions, this monopod actually allows precise positioning and a solid and stable lock. Then, with the simple push of a button, it collapses together in one swift motion. It has served me well while covering the sidelines of football games, allowing me to move and/or run to get out of the way of football players, and not be encumbered with some crazy and unflexible tripod. And, just as a sidenote, Bogen does have one of the best reputations of camera support manufacturers, used by professionals everywhere.
