5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, basic overview of the Bible, October 10, 2004
This review is from: The MAP: Making the Bible Meaningful, Accessible, Practical (Paperback)
If you are looking for a good Bible Study that doesn't require a Master's degree just to follow along then you won't be disappointed with The MAP. Each Bible book has a quick guide that includes information on author, type of book, purpose, and primary point. Throughout the book are lots of notes, maps, puzzling verses, and details on government and customs. One of the really nice features are the multiple boxes labeled viewpoints. These contain information on different interpretations for particular passages.

This is one of the most complete and accessible study sources for the average Bible student. While it is not a Bible in itself, it is designed to be used in conjunction with your Bible. The MAP: Making the Bible Meaningful, Accessible, Practical is a very highly recommended read for Bible students who seek a solid overview and understanding of the books of the Bible and how each of the stories relates to the other. It is not a deep hermeneutic treatise with detailed word studies, but a solid book that truly makes the Bible meaningful, accessible, and practical for everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Overview of the Bible, December 6, 2006
This review is from: The MAP: Making the Bible Meaningful, Accessible, Practical (Paperback)
This book is a good way for anybody who wants to learn about the bible. His writing style is casual and he tries to be funny, which he sometimes accomplishes. This is not a textbook or a heady in-depth analysis of the Bible. He presents the bible in a way that I believe most readers will be able to understand easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Taking 99% of the population to a whole new level, March 25, 2009
This review is from: The MAP: Making the Bible Meaningful, Accessible, Practical (Paperback)
This book is outstanding. While I don't know the author personally, he certainly knows how to communicate to me. I like the depth, relevance, history, and life the Bible represents in my life. As a believer in Jesus Christ, the Bible is God's handbook for me on how to live. What I like so much about The MAP is that it serves as an everyman's tool for reading and better understanding the Bible. Well done Nick Page. May God continue to bless you and your family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grateful for this book!, March 29, 2011

This review is from: The MAP: Making the Bible Meaningful, Accessible, Practical (Paperback)
I've been religious my entire life but had never read the Bible front to back, word for word and I wanted to know what I was missing. This book was such an incredible read. It was light enough to get you through the really tough reads but informative enough that you could understand those parts as well. It was a little "jokey" at times but I think I needed the break from time to time in order to continue my reading. I enjoyed being able to actually enjoy The Bible. It broke things down so I understood each section, its writer, when it was written, why it was written. It was amazing to be able to get such insight. I understand that it isn't for everyone (some people like to take religion, very seriously) but The Bible in itself is a very deep and complex read, so having something a bit easier to follow along with it, was beyond helpful. I even read The Map before I even used it as a Bible guide, just to go through and get an idea of what I was getting into with my adventures through The Bible. I'm so grateful that this book was written as it allowed me to read, follow and even understand the most important book in my life.
