I have been wanting to get my son a marble run for about six months. I finally made a purchase about a month before Christmas. Come Christmas Eve, my husband set it up and it was junk. The slightest touch would knock it over. We couldn't even carefully move it about a foot over on the floor with both of us helping. I wasn't happy, but it was too late to do anything about it. Christmas morning, it was demolished within 5 minutes. When my son wasn't looking I packed it up and returned it to amazon. I started a search for a durable marble run, but every single one I looked at had at least a handful of reviews saying that it fell apart too easily, and I was pretty wary after my first experience. I finally ran across this set and decided to take a chance even though it was pricier than most sets I looked at. I could not be happier! When you put it together, it stays together. When my son wants to build a different configuration, he is able to get it apart with no trouble. It doesn't have quite as many cool pieces as some of the other sets out there, but my son has had a blast with it. Highly recommended!

We have had this toy for at least three years now, three years and TONS of play. Sometimes it will stay out for days on end, the kids just keep playing with it. I have found ALL Discovery Toys to be well made (and I have more than a few). Unfortunately pieces have been thrown, but there is not one broken or chipped piece in the set. We also have an add-on set. I love that the kids get to make up their own tracks and designs (we have also copied the pictures on the box), it gets their mind going and thinking. My kids are now 5 and 8, and need little help from me (but my husband and I both like to play with it, because it is so fun!). Of course the marbles are small, so it is a choking hazard to little ones, so now that we have babies again we take this toy out at nap time, or in a room the babies do not go into. I would recommend this product to anyone. We have purchased marbles from many different places and most are compatible. Some are a little big, but you just give them a little nudge and they make it through. My children's favorite thing is to make, "traffic jams", just keep sending marbles through until they are all backed up, and then let them all loose. :)

I have looked all over for a good Marble run toy for years. I wanted one that was just like the Marble Run I had as a child that my parents bought me from FAO Schwarz. That was the most durable run and was not cheap plastic. I loved it.

I looked at every brand of Marble Run, in person, for years. I blindly ordered this one and I was shocked! This is the same toy!!! All the plastic pieces fit together perfectly. The pieces are exactly the same as the toy I had as a kid. Floored! We love this run and I am so happy we bought it. It isn't cheap, the marbles flow thru the toy seamlessly. The only downfall with this product is that it needs more support pieces, maybe an add on pack for just support pieces for purchase would be fine too. We bought this box and the add on crank and spiral pieces, love those, just wish they came with support pieces.

This is the ONLY marble run to buy!
