It is what it is,
This review is from: MARKSMAN 18 SHOT AIR PISTOL (Misc.)
If I had to describe this pistol in a phrase, it would probably be "timeless classic". Certainly it has been around as long as I can remember (I understand the original design goes back to at least the 50's), available just about anywhere, with few changes over the years.
I've personally owned several. We used to play games with them before airsoft caught on in this country, and when paintball was still pretty new and expensive to get into. Accuracy: Pretty random over 10 feet with BBs. Just to give an idea, during our games it would not be uncommon to exchange several shots at each other at pretty close range before someone finally scored a hit. Seems a little better with pellets. Durability: Good... the gun is made out of metal and is pretty rugged. The only reason that any of the ones I had break on me was due to trying to tinker with them. Reliability: Biggest thing is that the muzzle has to be held up while cocking otherwise BB will not load. Also prone to jamming if brush or dirt get into the BB magazine, which isn't that hard to do as the front block where the BBs are stored can pop open easily when the gun is cocked. Power: Maybe it's me, but it seems like 200 FPS might be a little on the optimistic side with this pistol. Maximum range I have seen holding the gun up @ a 45' angle is about 75 ft. or so. Not powerful enough to break skin or leave a mark even when fired at less than 1" away from body. I used to demonstrate how mild these guns were by firing into the palm of my hand and catching the BB. Overall: Good first BB gun, or for short range plinking. Also good for pest chasing. Wouldn't recommend for use in airsoft as the cocking sequence is slow, accuracy is not very good, and it's possible to get springers specifically made for airsoft combat for less. Like said, it is what it is. NOTE: This pistol fires .177 Cal (4.5 mm) BBs/Pellets/Darts. 6mm airsoft BBs WILL NOT WORK IN THIS GUN!

Good Indoor Gun,

This review is from: MARKSMAN 18 SHOT AIR PISTOL (Misc.)
This gun is good for shooting indoors. When u read the manual it says it is only ment for shooting 10-15feet and plinking. Which makes a super fun indoor gun or even backyard. Its not 4 small animals or distance 4 sure. But is fun and a super cool thing is it can shoot darts, bolts.pellets, and bbs so u have a variety. Also most guns dont shoot darts or bolts. For what the gun is suppose to do i give it a 5 it is made preetty strong and well.

Riiiiiight...,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MARKSMAN 18 SHOT AIR PISTOL (Misc.)
Ok, first off, this is an AIR PISTOL. Not airSOFT, air pistol. That means it's usually meant for target practice and not for airsoft wars, as if it's too strong, it WILL puncture skin and go through, possibly even to the bone. This particular one is weak enough to be used as an airsoft gun, but whenever it says AIR PISTOL, do NOT use it in airsoft wars.
This one is for shooting at cans and stuff in your backyard, as 200 FPS gets you about 15 feet max.
