It is what it is,
This review is from: MARKSMAN 18 SHOT AIR PISTOL (Misc.)
If I had to describe this pistol in a phrase, it would probably be "timeless classic". Certainly it has been around as long as I can remember (I understand the original design goes back to at least the 50's), available just about anywhere, with few changes over the years.
I've personally owned several. We used to play games with them before airsoft caught on in this country, and when paintball was still pretty new and expensive to get into. Accuracy: Pretty random over 10 feet with BBs. Just to give an idea, during our games it would not be uncommon to exchange several shots at each other at pretty close range before someone finally scored a hit. Seems a little better with pellets. Durability: Good... the gun is made out of metal and is pretty rugged. The only reason that any of the ones I had break on me was due to trying to tinker with them. Reliability: Biggest thing is that the muzzle has to be held up while cocking otherwise BB will not load. Also prone to jamming if brush or dirt get into the BB magazine, which isn't that hard to do as the front block where the BBs are stored can pop open easily when the gun is cocked. Power: Maybe it's me, but it seems like 200 FPS might be a little on the optimistic side with this pistol. Maximum range I have seen holding the gun up @ a 45' angle is about 75 ft. or so. Not powerful enough to break skin or leave a mark even when fired at less than 1" away from body. I used to demonstrate how mild these guns were by firing into the palm of my hand and catching the BB. Overall: Good first BB gun, or for short range plinking. Also good for pest chasing. Wouldn't recommend for use in airsoft as the cocking sequence is slow, accuracy is not very good, and it's possible to get springers specifically made for airsoft combat for less. Like said, it is what it is. NOTE: This pistol fires .177 Cal (4.5 mm) BBs/Pellets/Darts. 6mm airsoft BBs WILL NOT WORK IN THIS GUN!

Good Indoor Gun,
By
This review is from: MARKSMAN 18 SHOT AIR PISTOL (Misc.)
This gun is good for shooting indoors. When u read the manual it says it is only ment for shooting 10-15feet and plinking. Which makes a super fun indoor gun or even backyard. Its not 4 small animals or distance 4 sure. But is fun and a super cool thing is it can shoot darts, bolts.pellets, and bbs so u have a variety. Also most guns dont shoot darts or bolts. For what the gun is suppose to do i give it a 5 it is made preetty strong and well.

Riiiiiight...,

Ok, first off, this is an AIR PISTOL. Not airSOFT, air pistol. That means it's usually meant for target practice and not for airsoft wars, as if it's too strong, it WILL puncture skin and go through, possibly even to the bone. This particular one is weak enough to be used as an airsoft gun, but whenever it says AIR PISTOL, do NOT use it in airsoft wars.
This one is for shooting at cans and stuff in your backyard, as 200 FPS gets you about 15 feet max.

Finally....,

Finally, I'd like to add that you can buy PELLETS for this, making it more accurate at a distance and boosting its momentum power, if sacrificing it's impact. You can even buy darts so you don't have to hand toss darts. BBs are intended for short range, moderate power, as the ballistics of it being round cause it to be affected by air drag.
In short, this is a multi-purpose, possibly indoor, air pistol with only 200 FPS, barely enough to go 15 feet with a BB, but 25 with a pellet or dart.

Good Starter BB Gun,

The Model 1010 is a classic Crosman BB gun; not a powerful match grade pistol and certainly not a cheap toy.
I remember it from the 1970s and it usually came with a tube of BBs, a packet of mohair-fletched darts in red, yellow, green and blue, and a dart board. Crosman never designed this to be for long-range, high-velocity precision target shooting but rather short-range indoor games and outdoor plinking. And it does all of these very well, therefore I give it five stars. Back in 2003 I found one at a yard sale and paid $10 for it. I took it home, cleaned it with a little WD-40, put a few drops of 3-in-1 oil down the barrel and it sat on a shelf for years. Now that I have a back yard and a workshop I bought some BBs and have been playing with it, shooting at 1" blue foam insulation targets. At about fourteen feet it can still shoot a BB through the foam and ricochet off the wood side of the workshop. I would certainly recommend this as a starter for target shooting and for beginner pistol safety training. As with any weapon, I recommend the use of eye protection and basic weapons safety.

Marksman 1010,
This pistol performed better than expected. However, it was not without its flaws. The pellet seating tool didn't seem to work to great, as in using the tool to seat the pellet, the proceeding to fire the weapon did not result in the projectile in leaving the barrel. However, using the dart seating tool in place works fine. It will feed BB's reliably as long as you tilt it when cocking the pistol as to make sure a BB chambers.

Well. I have to say 4 of 5 If this Is what you are looking for In a Repeater. It met all my standerds as to what I want. One warning though, I would not advise to use this in a match or battle. The haveing to reload by hand and so often makes It more of a pain then a pro. But haveing It just for poping can's or what not Its fine. Nice color, Nice proformance and for the most part a good gun.

Fine when it's working,

Have had 2 of these. Seems to have fair enough distance and aim for this type of pistol. However, both of ours were very difficult to load - wished for a third hand. Then the front locked up and could not be loaded at all.
Just threw away the second one, and it was only 2 yr. old and not used much.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I purchased these to go with one that I had for years. They seem to be ok but the construction like many things made in China are now inferior. The charging slide is the only thing made from cast metal and the rest of it is hard plastic. I think it will hold up over time but I don't think it would survive a fall to hard cement. The overall appearance is now very similiar to a Colt 1911 and it has a fairly good feel in the hand. The price could have been less $24.95. I think $19.99 would have been a better price had I held this in my hand before purchasing.

dont buy this gun. honestly your better off with a sling shot. if you really want an air pistol i would save up 10 more dollars and get a smith and wesson m&p 40 co2 bb pistol. this gun barly goes in cans if you can even hit them. the gun shoots so far off to the left and down its not even funny. and that is if it even feeds. you probably have a 40% chance its gonna feed. and cocking it is such a pain.
