Maxell manufactures excellent 120 minute cassette tapes for all purpose general recording. As long as you have the right kind of equipment, these tapes record the sounds of record albums, radio shows, CD-Rs, people talking and just about anything else. These tapes have 120 minutes worth of blank recording tapes on them so there are 60 blank minutes for recording on each side. This is useful when recording one hour radio talk shows, for example.

The tapes allow you hours upon hours of listening enjoyment; and they take up very little room so they're easy to carry around with you.

There is one disappointment; however. These tapes cannot produce the same quality recording reproduction as a digitalized copy would give you. This means that if, hypothetically, you were to copy a CD-R onto another CD-R instead of a Maxell cassette tape, the quality of the sound on the CD-R copy would be sharper and clearer with less background noise than a Maxell cassette tape or any other brand of cassette tape could give you. Moreover, cassette tapes--especially the 120 minute kind with its thinner than usual tape--can break if not handled with care. These shortcomings frustrate me and therefore I will have to take off one star to make this a four star review.

The tapes have small pieces of plastic on the narrow top of each cassette which you can punch out easily so that accidental recording over an existing recording is impossible. If you decide to record over an original recording then you can merely place a small amount of regular tape over the hole. The cassette tape is now ready to record a fresh recording.

Overall, Maxell makes a superior choice when you want reliable cassette tapes to record music, the radio, people talking or anything you wish to record. I have used this brand for years and I cannot think of any major complaints. I highly recommend Maxell 120 minute cassette tapes for you to use when you need to record something onto a tape.

Maxell is the best brand of audio tape. I have never had a failure and I use these extensively.

I buy these to record an hour long radio program on each side without a dead spot. After about 15 years I've found the Maxell's and TDK's about equal and I buy them in bulk from whoever has a good deal. They do the job.

The tapes are just what I wanted. They provide we with the extra length of recording that was needed for our church services.

As usual, I found what I wanted at a good price, received it within a few days of ordering, and was billed correctly. It's nice to know I can order from Amazon with no worries.

I use 120 minute tapes to record radio talk shows on a 1/4 speed cassette recorder. This gives me 4 hours of recording time per side. Maxell UR-120 is a high quality tape which functions fairly well at the slower recording speed that I use.

hAPPY TO LOCATE THESE TAPES BECAUSE THEY ARE USEFUL IN MY LANGUAGE CLASS. WOULD USE THIS SELLER AGAIN.

Yes, I know that cassettes are a bit "old school," but I still like the convenience of blank cassettes for recording certain information. Maxwell is one of the few companies who still make high-quality cassettes, and the 120-minute tapes meant I can record much more information before having to change.

I received these tapes in good time and in great condition.

These cassettes are of excellent quality and function perfectly in the use that I put them to. These cassettes last for a very long time. I purchased these cassettes from Amazon.

I ordered to use with a school project, they came a little late (post office's fault) but they were good and very useful. I thought the packaging could have been a little smaller to hold them but that's not a problem either. Thank you for the opportunity to purchase a good product.
