I needed this for the garage at my new house. The garages built today are very small and because it was new, I didn't need to clean the surface as much to prepare it for the parking mat. Always clean the surface as much as possible first, regardless of how clean it may already appear. Then, go to Home Depot and purchase a Gorilla(TM) Heavy Duty Double-Sided Acrylic Adhesive Strip for Vinyl roll and cover the areas of the parking mat that are smooth and flat with it. After I placed my parking mat into position, it hasn't moved since. I use it with my double cab truck with "larger than average" tires and it works perfectly! No other parking aid needed!

I bought this many months ago and it simply will not stay in place when you drive over it. I contacted the company customer support and they sent me another piece of tape and it still does not work. Until they create an adhesive that will hold it you are wasting your money on this product.

it does the job but had to put extra double sided tape to make it stick better on the floor.............now it is great.

Its a great tool. Visible. Clean. Easy to install. The only problem I have had is with the vehicle operators NOT HAVING ANY COMMON SENSE and either driving over it... or missing it all together... worth it though if you can control for that.

To some people this product would seem dumb but when parking space is tight and really helps. I had a complicated ball system but this is better. If I am not careful, I either hit the wall in front of me or the garage door wants to come down and hit the back so I only have about 1 1/2 inches of clearance when opening the back hatch if allow an inch up front. Simple! You must do accurate measurements so you don't damage walls or doors in tight and close spaces. Put the vehicle in the parking spot, line up the parking mats next to the tires, mark the PRECISE location of each mat in relation to the tires, back out the vehicle, slide the mats into former tire location.

Parking mat provides a stable target to stop my wheel; yellow color makes it easy to see day and night. Since I back my extended-cab pickup into a garage with only about 1½" of space at each end, and I don't want to keep banging the kitchen wall, it's crucial that I not only can find the mat but also that it's totally obvious where the stopping point is and how it feels. This mat arrived completely flat in the box, not bent or folded, perfect for immediate use. I haven't hit the wall since I put it down the day it arrived. Placement instructions could be a little more detailed...

nice design of this item to stop the car - the watch out is: clean the garage floor and expect that the unit may not stay stuck to the floor. If you turn the wheel while parked on it the force can cause it to let loose.

...I also recommend buying some heavy duty double-sided tape from Lowe's or Home Depot, just to be safe. I did that and the mats work great.

These were easy to install. I added a bumper activated flashing LED "Stop" sign as well. I recommend both products to parents with young drivers who have never parked in the garage before. I was a bit hesitant about using the peel and stick adhesive on my epoxied garage floors but there are four screw holes (concrete bit, anchors, and screws not included) if you don't want to use the adhesive strip. I think a second adhesive strip would be beneficial even though my mats have not moved since being installed. There is a positive action to the front barrier. The reflector makes it easy to line up as one enters the garage. The rear bump just let's one know it is just about time to stop and getting back over it isn't an issue when reversing out of the garage. This is an especially nice product for people with young drivers AND old garage doors or old garage door openers that would damage a car were the car improperly positioned.

The product works perfect! After reading reviews I chose not to rely on the double sticking tape. I bought some Gorilla Glue at Lowe's and used that on the entire backing and over the double sticking tape. I used an inexpenisve paint brush to apply it directly to the backing of the mat. I think the mat will outlast the concrete at this point. For anyone that has a problem with their mat staying in place, just buy Gorilla Glue.
