Clean and musical power.
on April 16, 2010
I've been using this for about 6 months, and it sounds great. Powering Polk 6.5" components in the front, coaxial 6.5" in the back. Sounds robust, not fatiguing like Kenwood's seperate amps. Installed sideways, in the back cargo area of Volvo V70. It's the smallest amp that would fit there. No problems with it at all. Using 8 gauge wire, is not a problem, I think the 4 gauge input is all marketing. I know how good amps should sound like, as I've used Parasounds, Yamaha's, Marsh,Krell,B&K's at home with B&W's,Dynaudios,Vandersteens. This amp is very inexpensive, and it controls the drivers quite well, and is musical in all the different ranges. Head unit is an Exelon 993. Crossover at 50 hz for the fronts, 70 hz for the rears.
