got these for 50 bucks a pair to put in my brothers jeep (2 sets). fitment and install was a snap. these sound as least 5 times better than the stock speakers and provide considerably better bass. it isn't a top of the line speaker by any means but it is about the best sound you're going to find for $50. we did not amplify them so there may be even more performance to be had. he was very happy with these.

I bought these 6x9s along with a pair of Discus tweeters and put them in my Malibu. My friends can hardly believe that I got both of these speakers for under a hundred bucks. The 6x9s are very clear all around, good (surprising) bass response, clear highs, no muddiness, just great sounding speakers. (This is behind an old Sony Xplod head unit.) The included hardware was of good quality and the packaging and presentation was also very nice; looking at everything you'd probably guess these speakers cost $120+. I guess they are made in China but obviously MB Quart has selected a factory that takes quality seriously. I'd say if you are looking for some good sounding, quality 6x9s but are on a tight budget, you can't go wrong with these speakers.

I have to admit, I got these formula 6x9" speakers as my rear fill so I didn't care as much about the quality when I bought these. However, these speakers really suprised me. They sound very good. They go very well with my $200 pair of polk comps in the front. I'm running 55 watts rms to each speaker and no hint of distortion no matter what I'm playing. What is impressive to me is that I have them in my rear dash (sedan) and they are exposed to the trunk, which houses two 12" Eclipse ported subs (running about 1500 watts rms together). That pounding over the last couple of months has not affected these speakers - very good product.

For $50 a pair these speakers are a great way to upgrade your car's stock sound system. My '05 Camry's 6x9's were nothing to write home about and I needed to replace the rear speakers due to the grille disintegrating on one of them. I chose the MB Quart Formula FTA169's based on price. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find these speakers sound pretty good even though I'm still using the Camry's stock deck. Specifically there is much enhanced treble and a good bass upgrade vs. the old stock speakers. Even at high volume these new speakers provide me a much better listening experience than before. IMPORTANT; The mounting holes in these new speakers did not match the holes in my car's body and likely won't match yours. I cut the old speakers housing using a jig saw and then mounted these new speakers to the old speaker's frame using the screws MB Quart provided. But, due to the mismatched sizes of the mounting holes I couldn't use the new MB Quart grilles. Even if I could have used them, I would prefer a grille that's more protective. The grilles provided would not prevent small objects from becoming lodged inside the speaker cones. That's why I did not give this product 5 stars.

The real proof. I like these speakers enough that today I just bought another pair here on Amazon.com for the front of my car as their 6x9's also, and will later pick up the KDC-MP345U deck here on Amazon to drive all 4 (maybe even a MB Quart Discus amp for my sub-woofer). FYI, [...] has great free illustrated posts on how to replace your stock car sound systems. I followed a great post by a guy with a car like mine and would suggest you check to see if they have a guide for your car.

This is a awesome sounding speaker it worth more than you pay for it the high and lows are balance easy to listen. Highly eecommended.

Upon Reading the previous Rating, I decided to test it out.
I Now Have a Legacy 300 Watt Amp powering these 6x9 MBQuarts in the kick panel and 5x7 MBQuarts in the rear and they Rock!
All of these parts replaced my previous aftermarket speaker components. I had cheap Jensen 6x9s and PowerBass 5x7s until one blew and my Crunch USA amp was dying after years of abuse. My new setup brought life back to my little pickup and I would do it all over 100 times. I love the clarity, range and volume that I can crank out with only 75watts peak per speaker. makes me wonder what they would sound like with more power!...Legacy 1000w amp might be my next upgrade.

The review with this speaker is right...one of the best 6X9 speaker in the market...works well with my Pioneer stereo with 50watts X 4 channel. Even my teenager kids love the sound. It's like you have a sub woofer with not too much hard thumping. Perfect for me. Try and you'll love it.

These have really nice highs. A little on the bright side at high volumes. But if you have listen to a lot of hip hop then its nice to have some highs that will cut through the bass. Lows are decent for a 6x9. Theses will distort slightly if you turn them up too high but your not going to want them that loud anyway. I am running mine of my Clarion cx201 with 21rms/channel. Bottom line great speakers for the money.

These seem to be very well built speakers. The only problem I had, was that both of the speaker grills were broken when i opened the box. I can't use the grills in my install so i will not be returning the speakers, I would have thrown them out anyway. They sound good for the price.

Good quality speakers. You can get some speakers with more bass, some with bigger highs, but you are either going to pay more for them or you'll hate their quality. These speakers are right there in the sweet spot between price, performance, and quality. They are doing very well in the rear deck of my Gen 7 Accord using the stock headunit. If you can't afford some Pioneers this is a good substitute.
