5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny
I tried these shoes on at my local Footsmart or Footsaver store, but they were $250! The salesman wrote down the model number and size for me, then I came home and searched for them online. The least expensive ones I could find were on Amazon at approximately 1/3 the cost! They DO take some getting used to, but I highly recommend these shoes. I now no longer have...

It was delivered as promised. Everything worked fine, no complaints. However, for its particular design, pendulum type, your body weight moves all the way from the heel to the tip, then, I think, it would be better for any new user to acquire a half a point bigger than regular shoe size in order to avoid any discomfort because of the higher feet extreme pressure as it...

I now no longer have bunion, arch, heel, or IBT pain. They are best worn on flat surfaces, not on bumpy fields. My advice is to get fitted at a brick-and-mortar store, then order them online to save lots of money. My usual shoe size is Women's 11M, but in MBT, I wear a Men's 10M.

I brought this shoe because I work three 12hr shift in a row and by the end of the 2nd night I am in total pain, since I started wearing them I can honestly say I have not had a bit of problem as long as I wear them. I was concerned at first that I would not be able to balance myself in it, but it has been great not a problem at all. For any nurse that may have a problem with (PF) plantar fasciitis, get yourself a pair it's well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Comfortable Shoe!, June 7, 2011

I bought these shoes because I do a fair amount of walking at work on concrete surfaces , and I also have flare ups of sesamoiditis in my left foot ( also have high arches).

These work very well to keep pressure off of the ball of foot areas. Like any rocker sole , they take a little bit of getting used to , but it's worth the learning curve in the long run.

I also recently bought a pair of Skechers ; they also work very well for my situation.

This shoe takes some getting used to, but it does seem to do what the advertisements say. It is a very well made shoe and fits perfectly. My job requires me to stand for up to 12 hours per shift, and I worried about wearing something this different. I decided to work up to it, but only took back up shoes the first day. I am still a little unsteady if I move too quickly, but overall they are super comfortable and don't overtax my legs. I do have a hard time wearing regular shoes after a few days in the MBT's though.

This is my 4th pair of MBT shoes. In spite of a bad toe, they let me walk the city without pain. Very well made, fast shipping, great price. I do not know how I could get around without my MBT shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars knee pain, October 24, 2011

Since wearing these my knee pain has reduced. I've worn mbt years ago before knee problems. I wore flat or minimal shoes only because they were recommended. Knees felt worse. I like the new style of mbt. They don't look like Frankenstein shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Burn extra calories?Twist ankles?Be careful with hills., September 26, 2011

This review is from: MBT Men's Kimondo Shoe (Apparel)
First, my podiatrist told me this brand was the "gold standard" for rocker-bottom shoes and that they were originally designed for podiatric patients who needed to give the balls of their feet a break by redirecting the stress points, or "load-shifting" of pressure on the foot. I bought them because I hurt the soft tissue on the ball of my foot. These shoes do help that.
Second, I don't believe they burn many extra calories.
Third, I've never set a shoe on the floor and seen it rock forward and backward or side to side. Unique! I was cautious since my ankles twist easily and can roll over. I've been on crutches a few times and typically like low, flat shoes.) But, I havent had trouble with these. I never wear them all day, so I am particularly mindful of balance and walking when I do.
Be careful. I was walking 4 miles a day pushing a double jog stroller. One day, after a month of intermittently wearing these MBT's and getting used to them a few hours a day, I started my 4 mile walk in these, but I brought my regular shoes too (in the carrying pocket on the stroller. Two miles into the walk I had to change shoes for fear of really straining/hurting my lower legs. It fellt like things were stretching too far and maybe getting micro-tears in tendons. After initially buying them and wearing them a few times I tried walking a mile that included hills. My lower legs were more than sore as a result. I recommend wearing them progressively, and being careful with too many hills until you are extremely used to them.

I stay on my feet for 10 out of the 12 hours and I have to say that only after two nights of working, I can honestly say I love these shoes. I know they are men's but they look the best and match my scrubs. At first, they felt like something between being a little buzzed from a drink and walking on sand, but after a couple of hours

2.0 out of 5 stars Cannot get used to these shoes, April 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: MBT Men's Kimondo Shoe (Apparel)
At first while wearing these shoes, I had an awkward imbalanced feeling. That goes away in one or two days. I purchased these shoes because I work in a clinic and I am on my feet all day. Also I have back pain. These shoes made my back pain worse causing muscle tightness in my back as well as my neck. And it also caused an unpleasant nausea, not sure if that was due to the feeling of imbalance. I tried them for a week. Due to the back pain and nausea I put them on a shelf for a week. And when I tried them again, the back pain again became worse and the nausea came back. I guess the shoes are helpful for some people but they were a waste of money for me. They are back in the box I received them in. Wish I could return them.
