This is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned albeit also the most expensive.
I paid about $100 less at a local shoe store (they were on sale).
I've been walking on hard concrete floors for about 28 years and it is really getting to my feet, so much that I really didn't feel like walking any more than I had to.
With these shoes I look forward to walking in fact I would rather walk than stand .I highly recommend these shoes (watch for a sale).

I love these shoes. They were immediately comfortable and I could feel that they worked a different set of muscles in my legs. I walk in them everyday...Just perfect!!!!!

I've owned two pairs of these shoes for about 8 months now, I have neuropathy in my feet that makes it very painful to walk barefoot or wear thin soled shoes. Conventional sneakers or running shoes are also too painful to wear. The MBT sole takes the pressure off my ball and heel and for some reason they allow me to stay on my feet profoundly longer than any other shoe. The MWalk Oxford is a heavy shoe built very tough and stiff. I use one pair for construction work and they hold up as well as any work boot I ever had. The other pair I save for casual shoes. My MBTs are the only shoes I wear now except for cycling shoes.

This is the best shoe that I have ever own. The quality of the shoe is awesome. Normally I would I would have had to replace the shoe 2-3 times. Try a cheap knock off to see you like the concept, buy this shoe when you're ready for a quality, comfortable shoe that lasts.

Hello, my MBT shoes took a little getting used to because i had a stroke with balance issues but within a few walks everything was okay and man i can feel with further walks muscles not used in awhile. These shoes give you a pleasant non impact workout of your core body muscles.

I bought these for walking, with the hope that they would help stretch out my left arch tendons, which suffer from a painful condition called plantar fasciitis. I also have arthritis at the base of my right big toe, so I have to use the stiffest soled hiking boots that I can find for long hikes to reduce bending there. Finally, I like to stretch out my Achilles tendon before the ski season, and because shortness at that tendon is also thought to contribute to the fasciitis.

They seem to work for me. That is, they reduce bending of the big toe when I walk, and seem to help with the plantar fasciitis. You can also feel them working on the calf muscle and tendon during walking. I doubt that they make walking more efficient, but they do stretch things out in a non-painful way.

I notice that other companies, like Skechers, are entering the market with similar shaped soles, which should help bring the price down.

five out of twenty people where i work own these shoes and are very happy with them, but i have flat feet and while they are good for relieving pressure on my heels, they put pressure on my toes which feels worse...the interior is built with an exagerrated center arch that feels like a big lump of sand and trying to balance myself puts too much pressure on my toes..hence, i used them for seven days, threw them in my closet and purchased a pair of Floaters from Addidas which are much better for my particular feet.
It was a waste of $200. to buy the mbt shape-ups.
