5.0 out of 5 stars Very dressy looking for an MBT
I just received these today, did not buy thru Amazon but another online merchant. I visited an MBT retailer yesterday and tried on MBTs for the first time, they felt great. However they did not have the EMA in stock and I needed it for a cruise. I ordered 39.75 size as I wear a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I have narrow feet but I can wear these without socks or...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
I was really hoping to love these sandals but they just don't have the same MBT rocker motion and cushioning that I've come to expect from MBT. I also think these sandals run more true to size than other MBT styles. I normally wear size 8.5 or 9, and I ordered this sandal in a size 9.5. I think that a size 9 would have fit better, so I recommend ordering your normal...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very dressy looking for an MBT, February 5, 2009
I just received these today, did not buy thru Amazon but another online merchant. I visited an MBT retailer yesterday and tried on MBTs for the first time, they felt great. However they did not have the EMA in stock and I needed it for a cruise. I ordered 39.75 size as I wear a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I have narrow feet but I can wear these without socks or with thin socks. The manufacturer's web photo currently shows these with a toe thong, but the ones I received today did not have that. The EMA is very stylish, the sole appears a bit thinner than the old models, therefore I would feel comfortable wearing this as a dress shoe. Still getting used to the rocking horse motion, but based on all the reviews I have read, this shoe should be great for my lower back pain, and my chronic foot pain following multiple foot surgeries.

This review is from: MBT Women's Ema Casual Sandal (Apparel)
The "Ema" MBT sandal is fantastic ... comfortable and good looking. But I was really upset to find the same shoe on sale last week for $107 less than I paid. (Herrington catolog) If I hadn't worn them the day they arrived, I would have sent them back. Shop around.

These are going back in exchange for another pair of the MBT Kaya, which I have been very pleased with so far.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor design, May 29, 2010
I really wanted to like these sandals; I had wanted them since they 1st came out. MBT's tend to run short and I normally wear a size 10, but there is no half size, so I ordered an 11.. I probably would have been o.k. with the length if I had been able to tighten the foot straps so that my foot did not slide forward, but there are no adjustable straps on the foot. I have another pair of MBT sandals in an 11 and they work o.k. because I can tighten the straps in three different places. These sandals are cute, but poorly designed, especially because you cannot count on MBT's fitting the same from one style to the next. I have since purchased a pair of Skechers Shape Ups sandals and I am very happy with them. I will probably not purchase another pair of MBT's.

5.0 out of 5 stars My feet feel goooooood!, December 31, 2009
I purchased a pair of these while on vacation. I am out of shape and having foot problems. I am a teacher and on my feet all day, everyday. It did take a couple of days for me to adjust to the shoe, but it was not a problem. I just visited with my podiatrist and he told me these would help provide more support to the area I am having problems with. I love how the bottoms of my feet feel, like walking on a cloud or on marshmallows. I plan on purchasing at least two more pair in the near future. These were well worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty but Uncomfortable, September 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have about 6 pairs of MBT shoes, including the Mary Janes, hiking boots and the casual sandals. I have had heal pain for about a year and these shoes do help to alleviate most of that pain. I wanted a pair of dressier sandals and liked the look of these. I like the two tone leather and the style. Although my foot is medium width, these sandals hurt my foot around the front opening, near my toes. I've worn them a few times to see if I could "break them in" but they still hurt. All of the other MBT shoes that I own fit wonderfully and are very comfortable. If you are thinking of purchasing these shoes, I would definitely try them on before buying them online.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sandal but runs very large., April 25, 2010

I gave them 5 stars because I loved the sandal - attractive, dressy, comfortable. But I was very disappointed in the sizing. I have other MBT shoes in size 6.5 that fit good. Reviews said these ran big so I ordered the smallest size available - size 6 and they were huge. Sadly, I had to return them. I'd buy them in a heartbeat if I could find a size 5.
