During a visit to Korea he made the startling discovery that walking barefoot over paddy fields alleviated his back pain. Back in Switzerland, Müller began to develop a footwear technology that would make the natural instability of soft ground such as Korean paddy fields or the East African savannah accessible also to those, who have to walk on hard surfaces. In 1996, after years spent on research and development, Masai Barefoot Technology was mature enough to be launched on the market. How the anti-shoe is pro-body: Because of the specially designed sole, wearing MBTs significantly improves your gait and posture and relieves pressure on your joints and back. sooo cute! sooo comfortable! i've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for over 2 years and have been on the road to recovery. these shoes are crazy awesome! the fit is perfect and true to size and go with all my outfits without looking like "birth control" shoes like most ortho correct shoes do. get them even if you don't have feet probs. they are the best!

I normally wear MBT size 6.5 which is a half size larger than the regular shoes. However, I need to order size 7 in order to get more room for my toes. The material looks great and has high quality, but the leather traps the heat inside which might not good in summer. My feet get some sweat within several minutes after wearing this shoe. I prefer the material lied inside the Lami. Nonetheless this shoe is less chunky than other MBT Mary Jane and the back is much lower then that of the Lami which is suit to my feet. One concern is the velcro strap; it is a way too short and I hope it will last long.
