Not excellent but good enough., July 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCAT Comprehensive Review (Paperback)
The book contains about 95% of what you need to know for the mcat; however, I found that there are not enough example problems in the book. Some topics are not covered in enough detail (especially the physics section). The biology section is excellent. I discovered that it is best to study both this Kaplan text and the Princeton review text. Princeton has many examples and the language is easier to follow because of the examples, but the Princeton text does not cover as many topics. Both books complement each other very very well though. I definitely do not advise using only the Kaplan book.

This Book Gets Results!, December 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCAT Comprehensive Review (Paperback)
This was the only material review book I used for the MCAT. I ended up with a 34Q on my first try after using it. The material is entirely comprehensive and the questions are a bit more difficult than the actual exam, giving you an edge.

One of the best MCAT books, June 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCAT Comprehensive Review (Paperback)
This is one of the best books for the MCAT preparation currently available. The writing style is somewhat distracting. The illustrations are good. The CD-ROM is prettymuch useless - An AD for the Kaplan??? The best section is the Bio section and the worst is the Physics section. Nevertheless a good package. The other books that I used --the Flowers & Silver MCAT, MCAT chemistry book, Kaplan Workbook and Flowers Practice tests. These books were pretty good too. All books had ups and downs, but I guess the combination helped me.
