5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent math workbook
My eldest son thrived while using this math workbook. It isn't overwhelming as my children have complained about Saxon Math workbooks, and it is fun. All of my children that have used this workbook have tested higher than first grade level on their annual reviews. Our youngest child will be using this workbook this year. I highly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
Teaches 1st grade pretty well. Covers a variety but doesn't go deep enough into double digits and regrouping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gentle and Effective Math Curriculum, February 2, 2008
This review is from: MCP Mathematics Level A (Grade 1) (Paperback)
MCP Math is a "gentle and effective" math curriculum which utilizes the mastery concept to teach math. The teacher's guide gives you examples of how to teach the concepts through hands on activities/games. As you progress through the curriculum your child will develop an understanding of math, how to think mathematically and how to apply what they have learned. MCP Math can be used as a basal curriculum or as supplemental material.

4.0 out of 5 stars 5 yr. old likes doing his math, September 25, 2010

My little boy likes doing this book. He does not like the coloring so I just let him circle his answers but he has a fun time. It keeps him interested.
